As we pursue higher intellect, greater capacity to experience life and evolved existence, the parenting paradigm must also adapt. In last week’s episode, Tonya talked with Amber Trueblood about stretching motherhood and she continues that conversation today. Listen in as Tonya explores how to create an expanded perspective of parenting that can accommodate our ever-transforming concepts of reality.

Hello everyone, this is Tonya Dawn Recla, your Super Power Expert. Today we’re talking about Shifting the Parenting Paradigm. Last week I spoke with Amber Trueblood about stretching motherhood and her book, Stretch Marks. All about mothering in your own way and having the courage to step into that space with you, and your partner, and your children. How you’re going to do mothering? What that means for you, what that looks like for your family. I wanted to expand on that conversation today and talk about the parenting paradigm. What we see in the transformational evolutionary conversations as it relates to parenting.

Now, by far the clients that struggle the most in these transformational journeys, at least through the programs that we take people through. Are those who have young children at home and are trying to manage this mentorship, this parenting on top of really truly managing their own kind of inner children. The pieces of them that maybe got traumatized, or buried, or shoved down, or ignored, or whatever the case may be. It can be the most minor thing that occurs when we’re young. If we don’t have the capacity to deal with it or we don’t think to ask somebody to assist us with it. It becomes a constriction that later has to get evolved and integrated in this journey. As we continue to lose density and to raise our frequencies and want to hold that relationship with the divine in bigger and bigger ways.

The parenting conversation really cannot be overlooked in all of this. What does it mean to evolve that? What does it mean to even talk about parenting as a paradigm or different paradigms? Does that mean that there are different ways of parenting? Does that mean that as we evolve that we get to pick and choose from what’s worked in the past? Look at perhaps what hasn’t worked in the past or what we could improve upon.

What does that look like? When we start talking about really acknowledging ourselves as aspects of the divine? Does that mean that our children are, as well? Are they whole aspects? Are they minor aspects? Are they evolving aspects? Are they lesser than aspects? Who gets to define what that is? Because we can’t continue to parent in the same way that we parented when we were more focused perhaps on roles, and obligations, and identities of the lower frequencies. Think that if we raise that, if we expand that out. If we start asking, “Well, who are we in relation to the divine?” We also have to then ask, “Well, who are our children? What does that mean about this relationship that we hold with them?”

That’s today’s conversation. All about shifting the parenting paradigm. We’re going to take a quick break. But just so you know, if you are challenged in this area where you’re walking your transformational journey. You’re pursuing your evolution, maybe you and your spouse or your partner are. And you have children at home and it’s like, you hear your parents words coming out of your mouth. Perhaps that wasn’t the kind of parenting that you want to experience as a parent and give to your children.

Those are topics that we tackle a lot in the super power programs. Go check out that curriculum. We have packages and programs for couples, as well. Because we think it’s important that if you’re walking beside your partner, that the two of you continue and intentionally grow together. Go to superpowerexperts.com and take a look there.

But when we come back from break, we’re going to talk about the parenting paradigm kind of old and new. What you can look forward to as you continue on this transformational journey. Stay with us. We’ll be right back.
