Managing Cognitive Triggers

Cognitive triggers are all about doubt/regrets/perceptions from the past and fear about the future.  You will only be able to catch these thoughts as a trigger if you remind yourself every day or every moment what it feels like to be connected into the divine.

Thought energy is limited and will lead you astray.  It is a neutral tool.  Your choice is which piece of you are you going to let use the tool:  the piece that feels separate from the divine or the piece that recognizes itself as part of the divine?  To catch the triggers at the inception point. Stay in the space of asking who am I being and what am I connecting into?

The 10 Second Rule:  Nothing that happened more than 10 seconds ago is relevant.  You survived it and you are still here.  Worrying about an act that already occurred is pointless, because you are already in the result and nothing can be changed.  The second you catch yourself worrying about the past, stop and ask: did that happen more than 10 seconds ago?

If you are worrying about the future, ask:  Does a decision need to be made right now?  No decision needs to be made, because “right now” has already passed.
