 Tatiana Berindei:
Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Super Power Momma’s podcast show. I am your host, Tatiana Berindei, and we are in for such a treat today because miss Neva Lee Recla is here with us today, and she and I have been talking and we’re going to start a new series for you all because I really want to highlight the voices of kids and what’s important to them right now, and what’s going on. So she and I today, this conversation is the first in our kid’s talk series, and it’s going to be about the LGBTQ community and the church. So, this is going to be a rich and right conversation. Neva is the one who chose this topic, and I’m just really looking forward to diving into it with her because there are so many places that we get to go.
If you don’t know Neva Lee Recla, shame on you. No, I’m just kidding. You should. You want to. Neva Lee the daughter of Tonya and Justin who is the creators of Super Power Experts, and is a fabulous 11-year old who, by the time this airs, will be 12, and a beautiful human being. She is a teacher in her own right. She has been running her own business since she was two years old. She’s a mentor, she’s a friend, and she’s a glorious, glorious individual, and I’m just so glad that we’re doing this together, Neva.
Neva Lee Recla:
Thank you so much, Tatiana. I’m so excited to have this discussion with you and just be able to highlight some of the… I’m not even going to say problems, just learning curves in our world today. And I’m so excited to just be able to connect with you and to get to know your audience a little bit more as we unroll the series.
 Tatiana Berindei:
Yeah, me too. I already have some parents that I’ve told about it who are super excited, and so I’m sure that if you’re just tuning in to us right now, you too are a little bit chomping at the bit to hear what the kids have to say about all these things. Because we adults, we like to talk like we know things, but how often do we actually get to hear it from our children and from their friends and from their peer community about what’s going on for them? So, I’m just really thrilled to be opening up this space together like this. Before we dive in, Neva, do you want to share with our listeners your superpowers?
Neva Lee Recla:
Yeah. Well, I love this discussion and I think… Ooh, I got to sit with what my superpowers are.
 Tatiana Berindei:
And they are ever-evolving.
Neva Lee Recla:
They’ve definitely changed a lot. Yeah. I think my most recent superpower is… And part of the reason I want to have this discussion today is the ability to just see people as their highest self and to connect with people in that deep-rooted and just pure heart space of the higher self, and being able to see people as people first, I think is one of my biggest superpowers.
Tatiana Berindei:
Yeah. And that’s a superpower that a lot of adults don’t even have, so I’m really thrilled that you’re carrying that forward, and you are, and you do. And if you have not met Neva, she’s amazing. And the fact that you’ve been raised the way you have and that you can say that you have superpowers and that, that’s what they are, just gives me so much hope and joy for the future.
So, we are going to have to jump into a break and I’m tempted to just go to break before we even open up the conversation because there’s so much to talk about in here and I really don’t want to have to interrupt us. How does that feel to you?
Neva Lee Recla:
That sounds good to me.
 Tatiana Berindei:
Yeah. Because this is a really special topic and there can be lots of emotions that come up around it and there are lots of things that we need and want to discuss. So, yeah. Let’s go to break before we unpack this really important conversation about the LGBTQ community and the church.
Before we go to break Neva, will you tell our listeners where they can go to learn more about you and what you’re up to these days and what you’re most excited about?
Neva Lee Recla:
Yeah. So, there are a few places everybody can find. You can go to my website, which is NevaLeeRecla.com, and you can also check me out on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. I’m more active on Instagram. And also, I am the co-host of my parents’ show, Reclamation.
