We’ve all had moments when we think things are as dark as they can get and confidence is nowhere to be found. On this episode of A Glimpse Inside, host Wendy Perrotti talks with David Sandercott about how he beat the odds (over and over again) and how to find confidence when his life was at its lowest point. David is the expert in helping people find the peace, happiness, and freedom they seek while improving their well being and overall health. Listen in now as Wendy and David talk about how traditional gender roles can impact confidence and offer tips and insights that you’ll be able to put into action.

Hi, I’m Wendy Perrotti and this is A Glimpse Inside. Today we are wrapping up our Confidence Series by doing something a little bit different than I usually do. Usually on my series finale episode, I bring in a guest that’s an expert or a thought leader on the topic at hand.

And I went another way with it this time. My guest is an expert and a thought leader, I’m not going to tell you about what yet, you’ll hear that in my introduction, but not necessarily on confidence. He’s not a confidence teacher or confidence book writer.

But his story of finding confidence so inspired me, and truly he is one of the most earnest and open people I have ever met in my life. And so, I thought maybe he’d be willing to come on A Glimpse Inside and tell you his story, and that he and I could chat a little bit about the ways that the expectations that kind of come along with traditional gender roles, impact our confidence. And I’m really delighted that he said yes.

And so, without further ado, I’m going to introduce you to David Sandercott. David works with people in meditation, mindset, healing, weight loss and business. He has a true gift for helping people find the peace, happiness, and freedom they seek, while improving their overall health and wellbeing.

He’s the author of 21 Day Meditation Journey, Connect with Spirit Everyday in a New Way. And I promise you, you’re going to love this guy as much as I do.

Hi David.

Hi Wendy. Thanks for having me here today.

Yeah, I’m so glad you’re here.

Absolutely. Me too.

So, you use meditation as a tool for really just about everything in your life, and the work that you do with others. So, can you tell us a little bit about that? What do you do?

Absolutely. I help business owners.

Whoops, we just lost you. I think we have a little bit of a … we have a little bit of a glitch there.

Okay.

Oh, you’re back.

Am I back?

You’re back.

Okay. Good.

Oh, technology.

Okay. So, should I start … you want to ask that again and how go, or?

Join the Community!

Yeah. So, tell us a little bit about what you do. We know that you use meditation as a tool for most things in your life for Confidence Impact.

Yeah. Well, Wendy, I really help business owners, entrepreneurs, motivated professionals learn to love themselves so they can create the happiness, peace, and freedom that they really, really want deep down inside of them.

And the book?

The book, 21 Day Meditation Journey, Connect with Spirit Every day in a New Way was inspired, because when I was learning meditation 20 years ago, people would say to me, “Oh, I’m reading a book about meditation.” I couldn’t understand, how do you learn to meditate by reading a book?

So, I created a book that has actually 21 guided meditations that takes people on a journey, so they can actually learn by doing, not by reading about. Does that make sense?

Yeah, it does. As a matter of fact, I loved the book. I did all 21 meditations. I thought it was really cool.

Awesome.

So, what kind of people do you work with? What do you find that people … we talked a little bit about this. I’ll let our audience know. David and I talked a little bit about this before we hit record on the podcast, that so many people who are entrepreneurs, who are business people, really think that the thing that is their stumbling block is some tactical thing. And that’s what’s stopping them from earning money. Right? And they’re all about the ROI, which I’m in business, I understand ROI, and I’m about that to a certain extent, as well.

And yet the real thing that’s stopping them usually isn’t some tactical piece. And the work that David does is outside of that. Am I right about that David?

Absolutely. I mean, strategy is useful, right? We all have to have it. But you could learn the best strategy in the world, but it really isn’t going to matter if you’re not being the person you need to be to attract the clients, serve them in the way they need to be served, et cetera, et cetera.

Yeah. I think we find time and time again that the more we’re in alignment with our own spirituality, with our own sense of value, with our own sense of confidence, and that’s what we’re going to talk about today, the more things tend to fall into place for us. And then, Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, all of a sudden, all of the tactics and strategy starts to work for us.

Absolutely.

Right? So-

I’ll share with you just real quick, I’ve been coaching for over six years. And in the beginning of my business, my coaching strategy was to meditate a lot, and to be as most happy and as peaceful and spread as much love as I could, and the right people will find me.

And they did. And that was enough to launch me to walk away from what else I was doing, and to financially support myself as a coach.

And, I mean, another thing that you shared with me before we went on, you just posted your first video and so far, you just put it out there, and so far 500 people have commented on it. That’s incredible. It just shows that this work, works.

Absolutely.

Okay. So, I’m chomping at the bit, for our listeners to get to hear your story. But first we’re going to take a super duper, short break, and then we’ll come back and we’ll dive right into it with David.

But before we take our break, David, can you tell listeners where they can go to learn more about you or to get your book?

Well, sure, davidsandercott.com.  Actually, for a limited time, you can go to my website and even get an ebook for free right now.

Oh my God, that’s so cool. All right. I encourage everybody to do that. I encourage you to get that free ebook. It’s really a cool meditation journey. Stay with us, we’ll be right back as we discuss more on Confidence Impact.
