Let’s just start asking you, what’s your healing superpower?
Debra Silverman:
I think my power is listening and one of the really strong gifts that I learned at a young age is that I had to stop the inner dialogue. The words listen and silent has the same letters, so in order to really listen, you have to stop with your own inner voice and let the other person really just be heard. I really practice it, and it’s given me a gift as a healer to make it all about the other person. They really get a turn, in the end, they feel like, “Wow, I feel more listened to or understood than I’ve ever felt before, and that was just because I practiced deep listening.”
AngelaMaría:
I love this, to make it all about the other and I think that’s what we need to do in this world of service. Debra, will you please take us back to your early years and name one memorable life lesson that is useful for you today?
Debra Silverman:
Well, I was given this lesson when I was very young, that has never left me. It sounds a little superficial, like spiritual 101, but it really works. Be thankful for all things, and then you go, “all things?” Yes, she said be thankful for everything, even when something goes wrong, which is almost impossible to do, tell the truth. Like I can’t really, but I’ve practiced it over all these years. Let’s be thankful, no matter how difficult it is, just putting myself in the position of humbleness or on my knees or really in my tender heart. Then suddenly magic begins even when it’s not what you wanted to have happen.
AngelaMaría:
I think that what you’ve said is really important. We have shared that many times here in this show and I always invite people who do not believe me and do not believe my guests to just verify the power of gratefulness, the power of being grateful for every single thing opens up infinite possibilities for you in the same frequency of the gratitude. I think that’s why it’s so important. Where can people go to find out more about you?
Debra Silverman:
Well, I have a website called Debrasilvermanastrology.com and then obviously I’m on YouTube and I’m on Instagram and I’m on… It’s so funny and I’m on Facebook. There are places where you can watch videos and there’s even a spot called astrologyanswers.com where they have my videos for free all over the internet. People can go learn about astrology and what the stars say. Every single day, I send a free video out that gives you a weather report of where the moon is today, for example, and then you listen to me speak, and then you realize, “Whoa, that explains everything.” So that’s one of my gifts.
