Resistance – Black History Month 2023

Join us as we honor Black History Month at the Superpower Network and the 2023 theme: Resistance. The Science of Superpowers host, Tonya Dawn Recla, shares the connection between evolving consciousness and moving through race and ethnicity conversations. Tonya talks about how the Creative Energy Field Activation Process (CEFA) assists in moving through layers of energetic programs that no longer serve our global community and how we can harness the power of resistance in creating a different world moving forward. Listen now to this powerful message about the importance of acknowledging and atoning for the past as we vision forward into a new future.

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to The Science of Superpowers. I’m Tonya Dawn Recla. So excited to have you back here with me. And we are talking this month all about Black History Month. Of course, the theme for 2023 is resistance. And I’m so excited about this particular theme, particularly as it relates to black women, as you’ll see through my social channels and other areas. I’m really focusing on this concept of black women and the beautiful role they’ve played in the total tapestry of our existence. And so whether it’s through music, artistry, impact activism, you name it, we’ve had so many amazing guests on this show. So it will be re-featuring people and all kinds of fun stuff. So make sure you’re going to the episode pages as we share these out and checking those out at superpowerexperts.com.

Very excited to be talking about Black History Month, all month of February here on The Science of Superpowers. And why is that right? You know, in our spaces, we work with superpowers and human potential. And a big part of the reason for the fascination, the impact, the emphasis, the focus area, is because undeniably there’s a connection, right? We can’t talk about human energetics, we can’t talk about advancing consciousness, we can’t talk about playing in high vibrations, if we’re not willing to look at the very things that sort of that keep us out of that, right, that keep us from moving into places of freedom and tolerance, right? Like, I mean, I hesitate even to use a word, let’s maybe move that into inclusion, right? Should we even be talking about tolerance at this point? What, does that mean, right to have an intolerant attitude sounds like a little bit of a personal challenge, right? When it comes to a willingness to be able to see beyond your own comfort level. And that’s a maturation process for sure for all of us. And what we’re seeing on a global stage is what happens when we’re not emotionally prepared to deal with challenging conversations, when we don’t quite know how to manage ourselves in uncomfortable dialogues, right? When we talk about things that make us a little squirmy or, things like guilt, shame, or real wounds come up. And that’s what occurs and why we feel here, it’s a superpower network, it’s really important that we continue to dialogue in just such a fashion so that we’re not hiding from those conversations. And we’re saying, Yeah, you know, it can feel kind of weird, right, we get kind of uncomfortable and dialogues about race and ethnicity, and, and, and power plays and privilege. And then those are big, scary words, but they don’t have to be. And we can talk about them in a real way. And so in our body of work with CEFA, the creative energy field activation, and human energetics, we’re always looking at how we interact with people, how we exchange data, how we exchange information, one of the little micro occurrences that happened between all of us that inform our interactions and our connections, in ways that for the most part, we’re pretty unaware of, but they dictate just about everything, right? It’s the whole iceberg motif of like, the words that we use, and even our body language are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to our communication. And we know that over here, Super Power Experts. And so when we talk about things like Black History Month, and why we’re celebrating that and why we make sure to really make note of where there are areas of improvement, right where we can shine light in a different way, perhaps than when it’s been shown how it’s been shown before, or perhaps in areas where it hasn’t been shown before.

And we believe that that’s part of the responsibility that comes with influence that comes with privilege that comes with power that comes with broadcasting, right, it wasn’t so long ago, that it was a real privilege to be able to share a message that you might have thought you might have out to the world, or to anybody really right and so so. So sometimes it’s worth the reflection to sit back and say, you know, our world is changing at a very rapid pace. And maybe it’s okay for us to do things differently. Right, and to talk about different things, and to open our arms and our minds and our hearts and in our existences, to new ways of being so we can perhaps, feel what happens when we allow that to enrich our own. And so this conversation and the conversation all this month is around Black History Month, that 2023 theme of resistance, and a lot of times we equate that with being combative, rebellious, and certainly can be certainly sometimes it needs to be and there are many phases to resistance. Ultimately, each of us gets to vote right with our energy with our creative energy. With the fuel that drives us, we get to vote out on what world we want to create moving forward that’s free will, right? That’s what we get to. That’s how we get to have the most influence by where we invest our creative energy. And so consider that as we go into the break. Think about where you invest in your creative energy, what it means to celebrate and shine a light on someone, and honor contribution. And what is your dance, your very delicate dance with the conversation of privilege and power, race and ethnicity? And how in the world are we all going to figure out how to live together on this beautiful planet moving forward? So stay with us, your scientist’s superpowers. We’ll be talking all about resistance, when we come back from the break, and make sure you get signed up for our next experience. It’s quite a fabulous thing. Folks, people are reporting back miraculous things. Couples are using this to juice up their love life, right? Parents are using this to figure out how to communicate better with their children, right coworkers, and leaders and bosses are using it just to make peace in the workplaces so that we can move on with our missions. CEFA is doing quite remarkable things and it’s high time you had the experience for yourself, as we like to say over here, don’t take our word for it. See for yourself. So So go get signed up for the experience over at  superpowerexperts.com. And stay tuned because we’ll be right back after the break talking all about Black History Month, the 2023 theme of resistance, we’ll be right back.
