The three talk about the power we gain by using the CEFA Method and grounding ourselves into the wholeness of the universe. Oh my goodness. Well, very cool. Well, we’re talking about a really fun episode today. Today’s episode is all about Body Awareness from the Inside. I was so gonna call this episode, ready for it, I love my lips. For those who know VeggieTales. And Neva is staring at me with this look of like, I don’t know, what is this look like horror disgust like what’s coming up what’s emanating from you, Precocious?

Neva Lee Recla:

Precocious. I think it’s more of a try to figure out where you’re going with it. 

Tonya Dawn Recla:

So what we’re going with today is we do a lot of fun experiments in our house. We’re social scientists. We like to stretch the bounds of what we think is possible with ourselves. One of the areas that I’ve been very passionate about lately is understanding the body, right, all of us in different ways. For me, it was really journeying inside the body and into the awareness of the body through using CEFA and other levels of awareness and teachings, that I just learned through my day-to-day existence. And, one of them was around the lips. It’s been this really funny thing my whole life. Maybe some of you can relate. But I’ve always carried lip balm with me, right? It’s just the attaching one, right, and attachment. It’s like I had to have it and lived in Arizona and it was just kind of an accepted thing.

Like you always have to have lip balm, or you know, maybe going to Burning Man is easy because you always have Lip Bar is not an issue. For whatever reason and these levels of awareness are coming off, you know, you kind of start to question like, but why like, I wasn’t born with lip balm, like, like, was it a requirement from birth?Or has something changed environmentally has something changed within me, right? These are the things that I ponder in my existence.

So I did, I went down a whole rabbit hole around lips, because I’d pass this on to Neva, right, it encouraged Danica or their daughter and in the lip balm tradition until I started thinking like, okay, lip balm, like isn’t that like, like first aid like sad, like, you know, I went and went through this whole deconstruction with it and invited Neva along for the ride, to see if we could restrain ourselves to not use lip balm, and what that journey would be. So that’s part of the discussion today is going to be in that journey as part of a bigger sort of macro dialogue around a lot of the things that we just accept about ourselves limited beliefs, that when we stop to look at them set us free and so many wonderful ways. And it can be something as simple as a lip balm. So we’re gonna dive into that topic, I guess the other two aren’t even gonna get it.

Justin Recla:

For the record, I’ve never used lip balm. And I’ve only used it for emergency purposes mainly because I don’t like the taste of it. I don’t like the way it feels on my lips. But when my lips have gotten chapped, I’ve had to use lip balm. So I’m curious to see where this is going on the backside because I’ll know a little bit because I know the rest of the story here but I want to see what direction you take it after the break.

Tonya Dawn Recla:
