Justin Recla:

You know, we’ve connected now a couple of times, in very, very similar spaces. And we seem to have the same mindset, the same belief as to how the world works, and how to help people move the needle forward. And I want to look at things from your lens, from your perspective, in your experience, because what you’re doing over in the Apex Community is important. And people that are looking for next-level solutions for their mind for the business. It’s a place that they need to be, and I want to kind of paint that picture for them most of what that looks like so, first and foremost, who is Drewbie Wilson?

Drewbie Wilson:

Man, thank you. Drewbie Wilson, I am also the meme Lord. So for those of you that don’t see us on camera, I have tattooed the word meme Lord across my knuckles. Because I am just a silly guy that loves to have a good time. I am someone who’s really focused on just trying to be a better version of myself, I came from a life where I had a single mom coming up, drug addiction and all the things that a lot of us go through that have tattoos on our hands, let’s say right and kind of come from a storied past most of us. But with that being said, I also had some things in my life where I learned very early on that it did require a lot of hard work to survive. And those of us who are willing and committed to doing that work, no matter what comes up against us, tend to also be the ones who end up the most successful in life because we learn to overcome challenges, and we learn to solve problems. And the biggest thing that we have to learn first and foremost is how to get out of our own way. Right, because a lot of us come from that storied past, and we use those situations that we’ve been through, or maybe some of the things that we’ve experienced as a roadblock, to keeping us from that greatness that’s truly buried down inside. And so I’ve been blessed enough to work with a lot of mentors and folks that have really helped me kind of build some ramps over those roadblocks and get out of my own way to the point where I’ve been able to lose a ton of weight, I’ve been able to have a better relationship at home with my wife and my son, I’ve become exponentially more financially successful. But it all came back to understanding that where we come from doesn’t necessarily dictate where we can go. But where we can go as dictated by what we do today.

Justin Recla:

That right there, folks, should give you a summation of who you’re talking with. Who were we have on the show here today? Because this is somebody who gets it. This is somebody who understands that you are not your old programs, you are not what the world tells you when you were not the summation of your experiences. You were so much more than that. So much more than that. I gotta ask God. Why did Apex why pick a solution? What drew you to joining, right, assuming in this space to create this community that to help others?

Drewbie Wilson:

Man, that’s such a great question. When I found Ryan and the Apex Community, I was at that moment in life where I had everything the world told me I should have. I was married, I had a house, and I had a great nine-to-five job. I didn’t have to work weekends. For someone that was an ex-drug dealer who barely graduated high school. And for the most part, people thought was going to end up in prison. I was in a situation in my life where I should have been totally happy and fulfilled. But I wasn’t. I had the house. I had the son. I had the wife, I had all the things they said I should have. But I wasn’t happy. And I was overweight. And I was finding ways to self-sabotage. And so when I found Ryan and the Apex Community, I was going through a personal evolution. I had some hard conversations with my wife and said, Hey, I don’t want to be this unhealthy, not in shape person that you aren’t attracted to that can’t be there to support our family long term. And honestly, someone asked me one time and they said, Hey, Drewbie. I see you work hard for your family. But how would you feel if you had to sit up in heaven and watch down while someone else got to sleep in bed with your wife and raise your son using all the money that you worked so hard for? Because you couldn’t make the time to take care of yourself? And that was like a real gut-check moment for me. And so when I I started listening to podcasts like Ryan Stillman and Jim Rohn and Eric Thomas, the hip hop preacher, I was looking for people who had come from a storied past like mine that had made it to where I wanted to be. And so I started listening to Ryan’s podcasts just like this here, Man, I’m hoping that today, we have one listener that hears this, and they make a decision to go and change their life because you never know what kind of impact you can truly make. When you start being vulnerable and admitting, like, I don’t know what I don’t know. But I’m willing to learn and do what it takes. Because I know there’s more out there for me. And so I joined because I wanted to learn from someone who had it. But at the same time, he was successful in business. And I knew that as a salesperson, for me to make more money, I needed more leads, I needed to do better at marketing, and have more people to speak to more impact than I could make. So I joined because I wanted to learn how to get more leads and make more sales. And ultimately, what I found is that by becoming a better version of myself, learning how to be more focused learning how to dial in my personal superpowers, the money became a byproduct of that it was just doing the work every single day, and all the other stuff just started falling into place.

Justin Recla:

Okay, I just want you to say that one more time, because this piece right here, folks, this piece right here is the biggest takeaway from this part of the conversation I want you to leave with, say that one more time about the byproduct.

Drewbie Wilson:

So the money became a byproduct of all of the work that I was doing on my own personal evolution. Every time I worked on becoming a better version of myself, I started making more money as a byproduct, maybe it was the additional confidence. I mean, I’m sure there were a whole bunch of things, but like just knowing that I was trying to be a better version of myself, led to an exponential increase in my financial situation.

Justin Recla:

Folks, this is where it’s at. It’s not SEO. It’s not what you do. It’s not what you sell. It’s that piece right there. Are you working on you? What apex entrepreneur programs are you believing in? What programs are you running? Real programs are you going to create knowing that you are a creator in this existence, not a victim of it? Drewbie this is good stuff, my friend. We’re gonna dive back into this on the backside of this because I want to dive into some of the solutions that you have within the Apex Community. I’m gonna talk about your book, right, the book on social media mastery. This is important, folks, because I get it if you’re a struggling entrepreneur, and you’re just wasn’t an affirmation that you’re on the right path. We’re going to dive down that on the backside of the conversation. But Drewbie before we go on break, where can people go find more information about you?

Drewbie Wilson:

The easiest thing to do is go to DrewbieWilson.com.

Justin Recla:

There you go folks go out there, take a look at what Drewbie has got going on. And we’ll take a look at the Apex Community and becoming an Apex Entrepreneur. And stick with us when we dive down the rabbit hole in the backs of this conversation, we’re gonna blow it up even further. Stay with us. We’ll be right back.
