How can you have an impact on the disease during the middle of a pandemic? How do we even eliminate disease? In today’s episode of Incorporating SuperPowers, host Justin Recla is joined by Kristin Thomas as they answer these questions while discovering how we can create an impact when everything in our society feeds the playground for the disease. Kristin also shares her passion for making an impact on disease and helping others with their health challenges. Join Justin and Kristin in today’s episode to help offset disease and create an impact on it.Â
Welcome back to Incorporating SuperPowers. I am, as always, I am excited about this conversation because we see a lot of this going on in the world right now. Right? Everybody’s sick. We’re in the middle of COVID, so by the time you’re watching this, God willing, we’re done with it. Right? For whatever conspiracy theory you’re buying into good, bad, or otherwise, hopefully, we’re done with it. It doesn’t matter. But really what’s at the heart of this, and it kind of seems to be a theme today in the interviews that I’ve been doing is this concept of sustainability. And my guest today is Kristin Thomas. She is the CEO and founder of Health & Wellness Business School. Okay?
And prior to the show, we were talking about what she’s doing in the world and how she’s helping to have an impact. And what we want to talk about today is literally having an impact on disease. This is something that we can go down so many different rabbit holes, disease of the mind, disease of the body, disease of thought, whatever, right? But being in the health and wellness space, there are so many people that are being called to the forefront of this fight now of how we can raise the frequency of our society and of our world. And how do we eliminate disease? How do we have an impact on that when everything in our society, especially in America, is designed to feed everything that creates the playground for disease? How do you battle that? Kristin, welcome to the show.
Thank you so much for having me, Justin. Super excited to be here.
This is a timely conversation. I think it’s one that, you’ve been in the holistic healing field for some time now, what are you seeing? What’s going on? How can we call more people, the holistic healers, the ones that are being called forth, how can we organize them and give them the tools that they need so they can have an impact on the disease?
Yeah, that’s a great question. I think there are just, as you mentioned, there are just so many different facets to the conversation. It’s not just one thing, but one of the reasons why I got into this field in the first place was that I had experienced my own profound health transformation from a very severe autoimmune condition by working with an alternative health practitioner. And so that really opened my eyes to really understanding that I could take control of my health and that there were other options outside of just the standard things that you hear about like going to your doctor or popping pills. There were deeper things that you could do. And as I’ve gone down many years down this path myself, I’ve just started to realize just how immense there are options out there. And that there are so many different types of practitioners that do all sorts of different healing modalities and natural work with people that get incredible results.
Folks, I don’t know if you felt it, but as she’s talking and sharing her mission and purpose in the world here, the hair on my arm just stood up. I mean, I could feel the energy. If you can’t feel that folks, watch the video version of this. You’ll get the full, complete sense of it, because of what she’s talking about. What you’re talking about, Kristin, is this concept of you’ve got all these great people in the world that are here to offset the balance of disease and have an impact on disease, but there are just certain things that have to be in place, that have to line up in order for it to really be truly effective. And when you don’t know what you don’t know and all you want to do is what you’re good at, what you know, and what you’re passionate about we’ve seen it. We’ve seen so many people fail, falter, fallout, switch modalities, jump from one modality to another. And really all that’s needed is just some guidance, some insight on how do you take that, package it, and make it work, and get those business skills that are needed? This is the conversation we’re going to dive into the backside of this conversation here. Before we do that, Kristin, where can people go find more information about you?
Sure. So I am splashed all over the internet. So you can visit my website at healthwellnessbusiness.com. On Instagram, I’m Kristin Elizabeth Thomas, and the same on Facebook.
Fantastic. Folks, stay tuned because if you’re in the health and wellness industry and you feel like you’re stuck, that you’re pounding your head against the wall, you don’t know what steps to take, you’re not getting traction, but you know you’re here to help offset disease and have an impact on disease, stay tuned. You’re going to want to listen. We’ll be right back.
And it’s my belief that our disease epidemic that the world, in general, is dealing with. I mean, COVID aside, but I think COVID has definitely brought to light just how fragile our bodies and our immune system can really be, that we have an immense opportunity as individuals to really take back control of our health and say, “Why am I still suffering? Why am I still sick? And what are my options?” And realizing that you always have options. And that’s what all different holistic, integrative, functional, whatever the category is of practitioners are doing today. And the reason why I started the Health & Wellness Business School is that I realized, having a former marketing career for the last 11 years, that these professionals they’re so passionate and talented about what they do in their specific area of health for their clients, and they get amazing results.
But what they’re not specialized in is the business savvy, the marketing savvy, the sales savvy. And that’s okay, but it’s going to be really hard as an industry for us to make a measurable impact on the disease epidemic if these practitioners don’t know how to do some of those basic skills. So that’s literally why I started the Health & Wellness Business School because I knew that that was a gift of mine, the marketing and business savvy. And I also had been a practicing functional health coach, successfully built up a multi-six-figure business doing so just through organic marketing and just connecting with people. And I saw what an impact that made for people. And so I made it my mission to spread that marketing and entrepreneurship knowledge to other passionate wellness professionals that want to make this work and heal people, help people to get access to this information, and help them to spread their voice.
