Better to Give

Deep within any traditions with Christian influence is the concept of: It is better to give than receive. Many, many traditions with various influences offer some form of the notion that being part of a group requires some contribution because inherent in groups and cultures is some commitment to honoring the rules. Without encouraging people to shape their lives taking others into account, no group membership is possible. So, why do we still seem to struggle with behaviours that counter generosity as an outward expression of our gratitude? In this first message of The Gift of Gratitude IM Series, we dissect the concept of it being better to give and explore what happens when we elevate that concept to better reflect Spirit’s presence within it.
