Our episode today is with guest, Paula Lenz. Lenz. Is that correct? Paula Lenz?
Yes. That is correct.
Okay. Paula Lenz, who has written a book called Driving Into Infinity: Living with My Brother’s Spirit. It’s about after-life communication with a loved one and it’s something I also speak quite openly about. The spiritual world opened for me in the mid-1980s after the shocking death of my uncle. I was first frightened by what was happening and then later I realized he needed to communicate. In a way, I think of him as a teacher and someone who really opened me up to the realm of spirit and I deeply, deeply appreciate him.
Paula Lenz describes it well in her preface, which I’m going to read to you. I just thought it was beautiful. It goes like this: “I was reassured that life does go on beyond our immediate plane of existence. We are not forgotten by those we have loved, and they do visit us many more times than we consciously know. I hope my story provides some comfort to those who have experienced the loss of someone they love deeply.”
These are beautiful words, and it’s something that we all experience. In this book, I really enjoyed it. I read that after the tragic loss of her brother, life changed for Paula. She has now been a speaker for many years, including the International Association for Near-Death Studies and other places. Our episode today will be an open and honest discussion about near-death experiences, which are also called NDEs, after-death communications, and shared death experiences, SDES.
Near-death experience experiences are when someone dies during an accident or surgery, but then they come back to life with stories to tell about the afterlife. Dr. Eben Alexander’s proof of heaven is a wonderful example of an NDE.
After death communications are fairly common. It’s really feeling as though someone who has passed returns to say goodbye, or just to let you know that they’re okay, or maybe we have a dream that someone has come to visit us.
Many people speak about this. During the interview, I will ask Paula about her experience of meeting her brother, Donnie as a light being.
Shared death experiences tend to happen at the death bed and it’s when a person accompanies a dying person in the first few moments of the dying person’s stuff process. This can be incredibly beautiful. You’re torn in all over the place. There are so many things going on, but it can be an incredibly beautiful experience that can really open you up to the world of spirit and help you grow in terms of consciousness. When we have these experiences, we really open up spiritually. It can be an enormous awakening.
According to Janice Holden who wrote the afterword into Driving Into Infinity, Paula’s experience involves an NDE, an ACD, and SDE. We have a lot to talk about in this episode.
Conversations such as these show how rapidly we’re evolving. Once people who have had these conversations were thought of as crazy with thanks to the work of Dr. Raymond Moody, William Peters, Dannion Brinkley, Dr. Eben Alexander, and Dr. Kenneth Ring, and many, many others, people around the world now share these experiences openly.
I find it comforting to know that life and afterlife are a never-ending journey and that we will meet our loved ones once again. No one ever wants to deal with loss, but we all do so let’s discuss it. As Dr. Kenneth Ring says, “Driving into Infinity shows how the deepest grief can unlock the greatest spiritual treasures”.
I’m going to take a quick ad break and when we come back, we’re going to speak with Paula Lenz about her afterlife communication. You can find out more about my guest on paulalenzauthor.com. Stay tuned. We’ll be right back.
