What is the sacred wheel of the community? And how can this help us to create better and more awakened humanity? We answer these questions and more in today’s episode of Wisdom of the Ages. Guest Bruce L. Erickson joins host Ayn Cates Sullivan as they talk about the 12 elements of The Sacred Wheel Community. Bruce talks about the importance of body, mind, and spirit and how we open to the gifts of creation. Bruce is an important person in Ayn’s support system and has offered Ayn’s family many blessings over the years right when they needed them. Ayn considers Bruce to be an angel in disguise. Join Ayn and Bruce in today’s episode to learn more about The Sacred Wheel of Community.

Welcome friends and mystical travelers. This is Ayn Cates Sullivan, host of the Wisdom of the Ages, where we invite the sacred into modern-day reality. I am the President of Infinite Light Publishing and Media, an author, and a publisher because I know that our words have power. It is important to retain our freedom of expression and speech, which we’re doing here. It is important to share our fables, our stories, our insights, and our unique expressions with one another. So if you’re interested in awakening to more soul-centered humanity, I invite you to check out our new offerings on infinitelightpublishing.com. And also, if you like what you hear here, you can listen to many more episodes on superpowerexperts.com. I want to inquire into how we’re evolving both individually and as a humanity, a community, a global community, which brings me to my episode today.

Activate Your Superpowers

Occasionally, there are people you meet in your life that seem familiar, as though you’ve known them before. They show up at the right moment as the angels have sent them. So I met this very interesting man named Bruce L. Erickson in Santa Barbara, and he appeared right when I really needed him. I needed someone to help me drive my kids to school. I needed some support. So for about a year, he became a part of the family and is still considered by all of us, Uncle Bruce. So we had many long night conversations, and he continues to be an enormous support to this day. We must have people who care for us and invite us to live into our true nature truly. It really matters. So thank you, Bruce.

You’re welcome.

Okay. I’m going to introduce you in a minute here, but I would like to talk about Bruce’s project, the Sacred Wheel of Community. He’s made this beautiful poster, and for 16 or 17 years, we’ve been talking about this beautiful wheel that he’s put together. And I’m just going to tell you a bit of it. In the sacred wheel, he covers 12 aspects of life, and we’re going to talk about each one of them a little more after the break, but this is the main idea.

So number one, we’re used to the idea of the body, mind, and spirit and how we are collectively beginning to open to the gifts given to us by creation. We need to attune with the body, mind, and spirit to be in a state of optimal health. We’ll probably talk about it after the ad break, but holistic medicine is one of Bruce’s interests that we’ll get into. Number two, he also reminds us of the importance of family and how important it is always to honor our biological and soul families. Bruce was part of my soul family. Number three, perhaps my favorite part of this work, is the idea of the sustainable community and how we can create a quality of life where humans and nature thrive. We can succeed together. We have to reinvent a few things, but we can do this.

Number four, Bruce talks about the importance of art in our lives, art, and literature. Art in all forms of creative expression can help us heal our souls, so art is very important. Number five, honest media. Now that is one we can get into here. Honest media. What is that? How can we bring that into being? Number six. Bruce reminds us that science and spirituality are not as far apart as we might think, and we can be an open-minded bridge between the two. And I would say that Bruce L. Erickson is one of those people. Number seven, and perhaps the most important issue of our time, is ecology, how we work with nature, how we become stewards of this earth. So that’s really key. Eight, as a peaceful warrior, Bruce reminds us that peace and security are fundamental qualities for a sustainable community.

So we will also be discussing conflict resolution. How we go about doing that, how we can live together. We can do this. Nine, caring for all generations. This isn’t just about the mature people who are working in factories. This is caring for all generations. The young, the mature, and the old are all fundamental to a healthy and sustainable community. Such a beautiful idea. Number 10, economic sustainability. Now that may seem like a long shot right now, but money is something that we all need. Economics is how we can come together and thrive if we come from a state of higher consciousness and if we believe in the greater good of all.

Eleven, honest governance is also critical for a sustainable world. And that I think is a huge issue right now that we’ll get into. And finally, the sacred wheel of community invites us to ask ourselves how each of us can step forward to create a better and more awakened humanity. We’re going to get into all of this. This is super exciting. If you want to find a copy, it’s been used in many communities worldwide, this particular poster and design, but if you want to find a copy of it, you can go to brucelerickson.com and download your free copy. So stay tuned. We’re going to take a quick ad break. And when we come back, we’re going to dive into the sacred wheel of community with Bruce L. Erickson. Stay tuned, and we’ll be right back.
