Hi, everyone. This is Ashley Palmer, and welcome back to the new We Rise channel. On today’s episode of We Rise, we have a super special guest, Neva Lee Recla. You guys, I’m so excited to have Neva on because Neva is one of the bravest, most creative girls that I’ve ever met. She is on a mission to inspire 1 million kids to start a business, straight off her website. Don’t worry, you guys can talk to her all about that. She’s written her own Amazon bestseller called When Pigs Fly, which you guys should totally check out if you have not already. It’s actually amazing. She gave me a copy. I could pretty much get it signed, so whatever, but it is so good, you guys. She is just a firecracker. She created her own podcast called Super Power Kids, which is just amazing, where she interviews other kids, her age, younger, older, and she just basically pours into them. It’s just so full of love and encouragement, and she is so amazing. You guys, I’m so excited to introduce her, so without further ado, hi, Neva.

Activate Your Superpowers

Hi. I’m so excited to be on here with you. I absolutely love what you’re doing with this show, and I absolutely love you. I feel like we talk a lot at church and stuff, and you’re like a totally older version of me, and I also see the light of Jesus.

I know it.

It’s so awesome to see that, and now we’re working together, which is really cool.

I know. It’s really cool. You guys, I met Neva … What grade were you in? Second, third, fourth?

Fifth grade, in 2018.

Fifth grade? Clearly, I was off.

Yeah.

I met Neva when she was in the fifth grade. Now she’s going into eighth grade this upcoming year, which is just so crazy. I was her kid’s coach, and I went camping with her. Just always rooting for Neva, and her family is just amazing. Her mom, whom we had on the show a couple of episodes ago, Tonya Dawn Recla. The awesome gene runs in the Recla family, so if you guys want to check that out, you should go do that. But today Neva and I will be talking about how no dream is too big, and that we are totally equipped. But before we jump into that, Neva, I have to ask you the big question. What superpower do you use to help others rise?

Ooh, I love that question. I think it really takes what we talk about in the Super Power Network, but it makes it so much bigger because there are regular superpowers, then how are you using them to affect the world?  I would say…

So then?

I’m going to change my answer from my typical answer to love. I would say a lot because you know me, I’m always fighting for equality and stuff, especially in our church.

Queen, advocate, love her.

Thanks. It’s like fighting for what matters and something I believe, no matter what side of religion or politics or whatever you come from, it can all mean love. I think that’s the biggest thing we can do is to be fully ourselves and to love everyone for who they are and meeting them where they’re at, so they can rise to their fullest potential.

Girl, that is so good. I have talked to some adults that haven’t even figured that out. That love. Something I would always try to tell myself, and I think I told a lot of my girls that I was coaching, and I still try to live by today is let love have the last word because if love has the last word, then what can stop us, right?

Exactly.

Wow, girl, you are just so awesome. Before we go on a quick break, where can people find you?

Yeah. I’m all over social media; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, but I’m not really on Twitter and LinkedIn anymore because I am not that tech-savvy, don’t understand those.

Me either. I’m like, uh, Instagram.

It’s confusing. Then, I’m also on the Super Power Experts website. You can go find my podcasts there, but if you go to superpowerkids.com, you can see everything that I’ve done. If you want to connect with me, I love connecting with people and meeting new people, so yeah, just go talk to me. I love having Super Power chill conversations, and reach out to me on Instagram. Don’t just say hi because I may delete your message if you just say hi, but say like, “Hey, let’s talk. Let’s have a Super Power conversation,” because I love people.

You’re just the best girl. All right. Well, thank you for sharing. I’m so excited. All right, everyone. I’m Ashley Palmer. You’re listening to the We Rise channel with Neva Lee Recla, and we will be right back to talk about how no dream is too big. All right. Stay tuned.
