Justin Recla:

Welcome back to Incorporating Superpowers recalling this episode and their social media experience. Because my guest today is an Instagram coach, she’s a business coach. She’s a certified life coach. She’s done this she’s been in business now Coach Rocky if I read right, you’re also a single mom. You do in business and you crack this code, basic grant folks like me, you’re probably in that era of like, you know, you need to do social media, but she really doesn’t want to do social media or you just not too sure how it interacts. Because I know growing up interacting with people is like, I went over to my buddy’s house, I had conversations with people in person, and it’s completely different nowadays. So Coach Rocky, first and foremost, welcome to the show. Oh, looking forward to this conversation, because I think it’s right, because of the little some of things we’re talking about. If I was, I’m look at getting back into social and a bigger, bigger, more bold way than before. So talk to me, what, what is this? Why do people need to be on social media? And how can they leverage it, for their business to start there?

Jaeanille Rockett:

Absolutely. So of course, thank you so much for having me. I am Coach Rocky, you may find me in different places as Jaeanille Rockett, but everyone in the Instagram space knows me as Coach Rocky. And so here’s the thing, I want to stress to you guys that first and foremost, you need to understand if your business needs social media or not. And if it does, then you definitely need to start thinking about how I can leverage it. The other key part to that is, first social media is free. I love the fact that we have a free platform where I can talk about my business and connect to people that I would have probably never met a day in my life because they don’t live in the city that I live in, talk to them about my business, show my content, and actually get customers and clients from social media have a tool that’s free, why wouldn’t you want to leverage it. And so that’s why it’s so important for us to at least use this tool for your business and start to really capitalize on it in your business. And you don’t have to do it yourself, you can always hire people to do it. But it’s so important for you to actually take advantage of a free tool free resource to grow your business.

Justin Recla:

I agree with you, there is definitely one of those things that you usually need to be on at least have some presence on right? It shows people that you’re at least paying attention to modern trends and whatnot. If you don’t choose to build there, that’s fine. But you should definitely at least take advantage of the people that are looking for you in those places and on social media and so forth. So I’ve got to ask, though Rocky is, what’s the termination factor for a business and whether or not they will need to know whether or not they should be on social or not?

Jaeanille Rockett:

Absolutely. So I would really think about your customer base, like your client base, and what you’re like and what you’re actually focusing on. So for a doctor’s office, for example, if you’re a dentist’s office, you’re probably not looking to be on social media, pulling people from other states or even other countries. But you could potentially use local SEO so that search engine optimization on social media to attract people who are in your area in order to come to your location and actually, like you know, get services there. For example, I have a client, she’s a chiropractor, and she’s very local to my area out here in Frisco, Texas. And one of the things she said is, I don’t even know if I should be on social media. And I said, Well, why not? So we got her set up, got her running ads because that’s another strategy you can use for social media. And it targets people in your local area that have either complained of back pain, maybe they have some other type of pain. And it’s not that you’re using it to go to people that are in Florida, she’s targeting people right here in her area that could potentially come to her company and use her service. So when I think about the business, think about really, what can I use it for. How can I use it? And do I really want to be on it or need to be on it? And honestly, I’ll say this to you. I really feel like every business should be on social media, even though I said you know, you don’t have to, why wouldn’t you want to be? So I could prop you can throw any business at me and I could probably tell you how you can use social media. Now of course, if you’re in the private sector, where you can’t really share a lot of information about your company or your clientele, then social media might not be for you. It might not be the way that you want to, you know, use, or promote your business. But you could also use it to attract clients too. So it’s if you throw any bit snap me and I’ll tell you how you can use it.

Justin Recla:

Waste removal.

Jaeanille Rockett:

Waste removal, listen, first off, if you are if you’re a contractor and you’re doing waste removal, right? You want to target people locally, I would also be looking at realtors, realtors, whenever they’re looking to, you know, put houses up on the market. There are hoarders out there, right? If you want to help them with the hoarding, hoarding houses, use local SEO, you do waste removal run ads, you can definitely use this for your waste removal business like and there are just so many different things you can use it for, if it’s companies, businesses, that work in certain industries, waste removal, they need it. So yes!

Justin Recla:

This is good. This is good. Okay, so folks, we’re gonna dive down this rabbit hole even further to the back end because of this contract I love you. This is gonna be a lot of fun because you like to play. You see the magic, you know your stuff. And this is all about how we help businesses do better in the social space. This is fantastic.
