Preserving the Spark After Children
Are you having a hard time preserving the spark after children? Has life become a routine of care, work, and attention to the children? In this episode of Superpower Mommas, host Tatiana Berdei and guest Alicia Davon talk about parents’ most common complaints in their relationships. Women, after birth, usually experience a drastic change in their physical, emotional, and psychological aspects. Also, balancing child care and their healing process is quite challenging, leaving less attention to their spouses. Tune in and keep the flames that got you kids in the first place!
Tatiana Berindei:
Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Superpower Mommas show. I’m your host, Tatiana Berindei. And today, I’m delighted to bring Alicia Davon to the show. We’re going to be talking about preserving the spark after children, which is I’m sure a topic many of you are yearning to know more about. That can be challenging when we have our kids and we’re sleep-deprived, and we’ve all of a sudden become chauffeurs and cooks. And how do we have the time and the space and the energy in our lives to preserve that intimacy that got us, kids, in the first place? So I’m really, really glad that Alicia’s here to talk about it. Let me tell you a little bit more about her before we dive in today.
Over the past 25 years, Erwan and Alicia Davon have successfully taught over 12,000 singles and couples how to have exceptional relationships. Erwan and Alicia have become the go-to experts for those seeking a higher level of relationship support. Erwan is the Founder, Senior Teacher, and President of San Francisco-based Erwan Davon teachings, and together with Alicia, they specialize in supporting singles in getting into passionate and successful relationships and helping couples take their relationships to new Heights of romance and intimacy. So, welcome to the show, Alicia.
Alicia Davon:
Thank you. I’m really happy to be here.
Tatiana Berindei:
Yeah, we’re happy to have you. And as always, we’re not going to dive deep into the conversation before we go to break, because I like to give space for that. I don’t want to have to interrupt the flow, but I would love it if you would share with our listeners before we go to break, what are your superpowers, and specifically in the realm of relationships since that’s kind of what we’re going to be talking about today?
Alicia Davon:
Well, the first thing that comes to mind when I think of a superpower would be openness, and openness to new things. It’s very common that we all do this as human beings, myself included. We can get stuck in ruts and kind of go along, business as usual, and I have a kind of natural interest in new and different and an openness to things changing, so I think that’s a good thing.
Tatiana Berindei:
I agree, and it’s beautiful. And we will be talking more about getting stuck in ruts, I’m sure after we come back from the break. That’s a common theme that can happen for people. So we are going to go to break. Before we go, will you tell our listeners where they can go to find out more about you and your work?
Alicia Davon:
Yes. There are a few ways that those of you listening can find out about me and our work. There’s a very direct way, which is if you think you might be interested in working with Erwan and me, we have online classes and coaching available all over the world. I’m offering what’s called a love life consultation, which is free. It’s time for you and me to have some one-on-one time over Zoom or over the phone, and you can tell me about your struggles and your goals and your love life and your sex life, your relationship life. And then if it looks like we can support you, I’ll lay out our different programs and how they work, and then you’ll have an opportunity to move forward.
They’re really fun. They’re totally confidential. They’re for singles. They’re for couples. The way to set that up is to text our school, which is (415) 308-9580. That’s (415) 308-9580. And Tatiana, I’ll also give you a link that people can click if they want to set it up that way.
Tatiana Berindei:
Perfect.
Alicia Davon:
And then for those that just want to kind of browse around, our website is pleasurecourse.com. You can find us there.
Tatiana Berindei:
Awesome. We will definitely include that link on the website. If you go to superpowerexperts.com on the podcast page and find the Superpower Mommas show, the link will be in there. All right. We’re talking with Alicia Davon about preserving the spark after children, and we’ll be right back. Stay tuned. This is going to be a juicy one. I just know it.
