Why do you need to guard your heart? Did others once break it? In this episode of We Rise, host Ashley Palmar talks about the connection between Jesus and us, his people. When we aim to achieve some milestone or strive for the best, people around us tell us that we are not enough. Because of this, we get discouraged and brokenhearted. Nevertheless, this episode tells us why we need to guard our hearts and close our ears to the world’s negativities. Tune in and listen to Ashley as she shares why trusting Jesus and running after him will surely bring us to glory and success.
Ashley Palmer:
Hey guys, what’s up? It’s Ashley Palmer. Welcome back to the We Rise channel. I’m so excited today because I actually do not have a guest with me. Not that I’m excited to have a guest, but I’m excited because this is my first solo episode where it’s just me talking to you guys and kind of introducing myself and just sharing my life. I feel like, for me, all these episodes that have aired and come out, they’ve always been featuring super amazing thought leaders and young leaders. And I have never really sat here and just introduced myself, shared who I am as a follower and a person. And I just figured that it would be so much fun to do that.
An episode aired a couple of weeks ago, was about to air, about self-worth with a dear friend of mine, and it was so good that I just so felt like I wanted to share more about that because it’s such a season where I’m in, and I feel like you can never talk too much about being enough and feeling enough and being enough with Jesus.
So today, we’re going to dive right in. I’m going to ask myself the big question. What is my superpower? I’m not sure. I think there are so many things that can be superpowers. I think one of mine is encouragement. I think that I am a cheerleader. I love people. I’m an adapter, so I see where people are in, and I can adapt to those emotions. Like if they need encouragement, if they need encouragement and challenge, I can adapt to that and find a place where that can go in. But also, I would like to think of myself as a prayer warrior. I think Jesus gave me the gift of prayer. Not that it’s like something that always happens, but that I have just been given the Words, that those can be spoken over people, and that I can just let the Lord speak through me when I pray.
It’s honestly really cool because when you’re in a group, and people are like, “Oh, who’s going to pray?” It’s this pressure, but I feel like the Lord has given me that gift of that prayer is a conversation, and so I always am like, “I’ll pray! Let me pray!” Although, trying to give people room to explore that and grow that. But anyway, I think prayer is one of mine and encouragement. And I think that just speaking. I talk so much, and I think that I have a gift for people. I don’t know. It’s hard because you’re talking about yourself, but it’s really everything that God has that I can say “I flex on” is God. All my gifts, everything that I’ve been blessed with, it’s all been Him, anyway. So it’s just a reflection of who He is, and how He loves me, and the gifts that He gives me. So I can relate to people, I can love them. Again, I can adapt, I can encourage, I can pray. I’m just a people person. That’s just who I am to the core. That’s how I recharge is people.
So a little bit about me. Yeah, those are my gifts. My super power is loving people, and encouraging them, and praying for them. It’s three, so I technically cheated. But hey, I don’t know, I can’t narrow it down. But yeah, so that’s my big question and my big answer. It’s so cool. I feel like I’m doing an interview with myself. Back and forth.
But we’re going to take a quick break, and we’ll be back. Oh, we always do this, but if you guys want to follow me on social, it’s @ashleynoelle. You can just follow me. You guys can just follow me, slide into my DMS. Let’s chat. I would love to pray over you guys, answer some questions. I’ve been thinking about, if you guys wanted to do maybe a Q and A type thing, just hit me up on Instagram. Just let me know that you’re coming from the show, and slide in there and just send me some questions, and I’ll pull a guest who is kind of like experts on these questions, and we’ll kind of chat and debunk them. Yeah, we’ll talk about it. So you can follow me @ashleynoelle, on Instagram. I don’t really have any other social media. Yeah, that’s about it. So just follow me on there. All right. We’re going to take a quick break. We’ll be back. Here we go.
