Nurturing Mother Earth

When can we work together and start nurturing Mother Earth? In this episode of Wisdom of Ages, host Ayn Cates Sullivan and guest Sarah Drew anchor their talk on the preservation and cultivation of Mother Earth. We should do an inquiry, asking ourselves, What can we do daily to benefit others and benefit all life? They share the importance of reforging our connection to Mother Earth. You will learn how to plant the seeds for cultures of stability and peace and reawaken the sacred feminine wisdom lines and traditions. Tune in to know why and how we can start nurturing Mother Earth!

Ayn Cates Sullivan:

Welcome and blessings. This is Ayn Cates Sullivan, host of Wisdom of the Ages, where we invite the sacred into modern-day reality.

Today, we’re speaking about nurturing mother earth and how we can learn about and use multiple disciplines to heal the planet and humanity. There are many, many ways that we can. We can just talk about trees and how trees can help. We can talk about birds, the flights of birds. We can talk about so many things that can inspire us to heal, both inside of our own psyches and souls in terms of evolving humanity, and also the earth. What is our relationship with the earth? How can we be stewards of the earth?

One of my favorite Arthurian themes is the healing of the wasteland. When there’s a change of guard, we have Arthur at the round table, and they go off and search for the Holy Grail, and what happens next? Mordred comes in, and then there’s a new world that arises.

My guest today is really wonderful. I’ve wanted to have her on the show for a while now. Her name is Sarah Drew. She’s a storyteller. She’s inspired by regenerative narratives that give us both a deeper understanding of our past and powerful blueprints for the future. So this is important, I believe, that we not only seek answers in the time in which we live but also from the timeless. A lot of our ancestors and a lot of our guides live in this timeless place that we can access when we move more into the holistic way of thinking.

Her novel Gaia Codex captures the spirit of the feminine rising and our deepening reconnection to our mother earth, and I enjoyed reading it. There are lots of codes in there that might invite you, or might activate certain memories within you. It’s sort of like visiting an old stone circle like Stonehenge or Avebury, or some of the other powerful parts of the earth like Mount Shasta where, suddenly, these memories just start pouring in for you.

Sarah Drew was a popular teacher and mentor for women worldwide on topics such as feminine wisdom, evolutionary culture, and regenerative technology so we’re going to be getting into some of that. She’s interested in humanity’s evolution, the cultivation of compassion, and our multi-generational nurturance of mother earth. Just think about that term for a minute. It’s like we might, each one of us might be carrying some codes that came from our mothers and grandmothers, and grandfathers. Who knows how many? We talk about seven generations, but it might be 70 generations. We don’t know, but we can begin to tap into some of these agreements that we made it.

Another thing that I think is important, too, is not only the difficulties. We tend to know the difficulties such as alcoholism or something that might pass through a generation, but there are also gifts, and I think it’s important for us to remember the gifts that we have. My mom’s side loved trees. They were the foresters, so they loved the trees. They nurtured the trees that there’s something about that, that will pass from one generation to another so we maybe we’ll explore some of that, too.

Sarah lives with her husband in Manhattan and on a lushly forested farm in the Hudson Valley, so sounds really magical there. One of her main inquiries is what can we do on a daily basis to benefit others and to benefit all life. I’m going to leave you with that question for a minute while we take an ad break, and you can find out more about Sarah Drew on sarahdrew.net. The inquiry again is what can we do on a daily basis to benefit others and to benefit all life? Stay tuned, we’ll be right back.
