Welcome and blessings. This is Ayn Cates Sullivan, host of Wisdom of the Ages. And I’m also the author of the Sparkle series for children. Could you all use a little sparkle? So, Margaret Donahue combines business with feng shui and teaches that money is energy. I want everybody to really get this concept. Is that something that you have to chase or toil really hard to get?
Let’s start to understand this as we shift into this next paradigm, “Money is Energy”. So it does seem that we’re in the middle of an economic and social revolution. So let’s discover what sort of mindset we need to usher into this new paradigm and thrive. So Margaret Donahue and Madeline Gerwick have co-authored a new book, entitled Money Is an Energy Game, it’s really quite wonderful. I just told her that I’m going to send it to my sisters for Christmas. Maybe my mom too. We’ll all have some great money conversations. So Peg, welcome to Wisdom of the Ages.
Margaret Donahue:
Well, thank you. Ayn, it’s really a pleasure to be here with you today.
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
It’s good. Maybe it’s obvious because we all read the newspapers. But why do you feel there’s an economic and social revolution going on?
Margaret Donahue:
Oh my gosh! Well just look at the last 20 years. And I didn’t know it at the time, but I was in corporate business for 21 years, up until 2000. At the turn of the century, I planned to take six months off and I left that. And you know what? I never went back, and I morphed into what I’m doing now, which has been feng shui and energy work and clearings and just really helping people to bring out the best in themselves.
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
That’s great. That’s really great.
Margaret Donahue:
And so for 20 years, the business has just changed dramatically. I would say for the first 10 years, there were so many companies just collapsing one right after the other. And now we’re in a stage where we’re seeing more and more sustainable businesses emerging.
And years ago, it came up that if you had a good business, a sustainable business, or a business that had a good idea, that was doing good for the world, well, you’re not going to make money because those two things don’t go together. You can’t do good and earn a good living at the same time.
And that is all coming to change. The younger folks are really showing us that yes, you can be out there with a really good idea and a really good business, that is helping people and helping the world and helping the earth. And it can be profitable and make money at the same time.
Ayn Cates Sullivan:

We can be contributions to humanity and really-

Margaret Donahue:
Madeline Gerwick, is an economic astrologer. And so she knows these cycles down pat. I don’t keep cycles in my head. But she has often talked about how we are in… Right now, we’re in the middle of a 40-year economic revolution. We’re halfway through this. We are going to see the changes begin to accelerate. We’ve been through it all. The last 20 years have really been rough, just really hard on business and hard on people, the collapse of 2008.
But look at how far it’s come back. For people who followed the stock market, it felt really low and it has really grown quite a bit. Years ago, I read in Gary Renard’s book, I don’t know if you follow Gary or not, he wrote The Disappearance of the Universe. And then, he wrote a second book and I think it was in the second book, he said that the stock market was going to go up to 40,000. And I’ve always kept that in my head, because
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
That’s interesting.
Margaret Donahue:
Because we are almost there.
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
Interesting.
Margaret Donahue:
I think he said by about 2040 or so it was going to go. But it’s really going up much faster. I’ve always loved his books.Â
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
