Welcome and blessings. This is Ayn Cates Sullivan, host of Wisdom of the Ages where we invite the sacred into modern-day reality. So each week I interview healers, spiritual teachers, and wisdom keepers, and also, I now offer monologues on spiritual awakening. So you can listen to many more spiritual episodes on superpowerexperts.com/wisdomoftheages. Let me tell you why you’re going to be excited about this episode. My guest today is Dane Stevens and we will be talking about overcoming trauma. This is an important subject right now, and if we overcome trauma, we can possibly lead extraordinary lives. But before I introduce my guest, I want to tell you a healing story. So in the 1980s when I was living in England, I joined a group of people who were part of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers. It’s an organization that was founded in 1955 to protect and advance the work of spiritual healing.

Activate Your Superpowers

Fabulous, right? In this group, spiritual healing was done with the hands and also with prayer and meditation, the energy was just fabulous. I would just run every Wednesday, I would run to be part of this group. So the short term is an FNSH. The National Federation of Spiritual Healers can attend to patients in hospitals in the United Kingdom. I was intrigued, as an American, I had never seen a group of people work together as volunteers with so much love and laughter. I mean, we’re there in these hospitals and there are patients with no hair with tubes up their noses, and maybe they have short periods of time to live, but we laughed and we enjoyed each other. And I think the biggest lesson I learned was that there is a power, a true power behind positive thinking. So I was so moved by it I actually wrote a book called Consider This: Recovering Harmony and Balance Naturally it was published years ago by Findhorn Press in Scotland and it was about 12 different types of holistic therapies.

And I think you can probably still get it on Amazon but the main thing is that the writing of the book was a life-changer for me. I took all sorts of courses to learn about gentle healing that any layperson can do for self-care. I learned about flower essences and aromatherapy and homeopathy, hands-on healing, and many other gentle healing methods. The Federation now has 6,500 members, the only group that I know in the USA is Healing in America and Ojai, California, which is run by Roger Ford and Kim Vincent. They do an amazing job and I’ve had the pleasure of visiting their center many times and I will say that I’ve witnessed what I might term miracles there. Healing happens when we align with the intelligent forces of life, also when we get out of our own way. The main thing I learned in all of this I believe is that the first step in healing is taking full responsibility for our lives.

And I think that brings us to our guest today. I’ll ask him to make sure, but our guest today is Dane Stevens, I have to find out if he has a Danish background, but anyway, Dane Stevens, and I’m excited about this interview. On the first page of his book, Reclaim Your Power to Create Your Best Life, he writes, “We are born with innate power, the power of creativity and choice. It aligns us with the wisdom and majesty of the universe.” So I want readers to think about Dane Steven’s words, once again, I’ll read them, I’ll repeat, “We are born with innate power, the power of creativity and choice. It aligns us with the wisdom and majesty of the universe.” When I read those words, I immediately smiled. I mean, clearly, we’re kindred spirits. This brave man went from three years of homelessness to a thriving practice where he helps people all over the world heal.

Yes, we can heal. So if Dane can do it, so can we, each of us can live an extraordinary life. We’re going to take a short break and when we come back, we’ll be speaking with Dane Stevens about his new book, Reclaim Your Power, and the new healing modality he has developed called Neuro Trauma Healing Process or NTHP. I can’t wait to hear more. I do believe, especially right now that we need more effective healing modalities. I am positive that as individuals we can choose to heal and we can succeed. As we wake up to our innate power, our family becomes empowered and ultimately our world becomes a better place. So when we’re taking this break you can check out more about Dane Stevens by visiting danestevensonline.com. So stay tuned, we’ll be right back.
