With everything going on in the world, there’s a lot of talk about the advantages of being resilient, about knowing how to turn obstacles into advantages — to know how to take whatever challenges we face, rise above them,  and create opportunity

But what happens when we don’t feel resilient? When we are challenged by life, what does it take to  move from stress and helplessness into knowing that we are JUST FINE so we can take strong empowered action? What, exactly, does it take to become resilient and thrive, even in the face of social upheaval and the world’s stressors?

The Series

This latest IM Series on Tapping Into Resilience walks through tools and tactics we can use to find secure footing, no matter what challenges we face. Becoming resilient means discovering that we have the option to respond differently to whatever is happening in our life. Instead of automatically responding to situations with worry, stress, or frustration, we can interpret challenges and obstacles as opportunities for growth. We start by recognizing that the first step in overcoming difficult emotions is, paradoxically, to face them directly, instead of denying them. We move on to discovering how to handle the instinctive thought patterns that keep us spinning in fear, so that we can create more peaceful, supportive thoughts. Finally, we begin to identify how to tap into strength, possibility, and peace, both within us and all around.
