In God We Trust

In our quest for satisfaction in this life, many of us dedicate ourselves to walking more closely with God. We willingly acknowledge, sometimes after decades of effort to the contrary, that our individual efforts pale in comparison to what God can do in and through us. We find ourselves joyfully turning more and more over to divine will as we discover the peace and satisfaction that comes with living in harmony and flow. But each of us has at least one area of our lives that tends to remain in the shadows longer than others. And for many that area has something to do with money.

Why does it feel incredibly challenging to believe that if God can move mountains and align details in so many viable and visible ways that somehow, someway, money remains outside of His ability? Or is it that we have difficulty believing that God concerns himself with something like our financial well being? Or, perhaps, we believe that it’s our responsibility, and ours alone, to make things happen in our life if we want more than just survival. No matter the rationalization, the give and take routine we do with our finances creates discord and difficulty as we try to navigate our divine paths.
