Expanding Motherhood

Motherhood is one of the most crucial relationship constructs we carry as a collective. It represents new beginnings, comfort, and a sense of home. But wrapped up in it are all kinds of emotions, fears, hopes, dreams, sorrows, and joys. The concept of motherhood is as diverse as the mothers who embrace it, and yet most mothers admit to some sense of inadequacy or failure in their mothering, indicating that we believe there is a common framework we should use to judge ourselves. What is it about parenting that makes us believe we should both be immediately perfect at it and expect some form of failure, thus feeding our sense of incompleteness or lack? Within the parenting paradigm is a wealth of unpacking we can use to raise ourselves and our lineage relationships (forward and backward) to higher frequencies.

Join us in this IM Series, Expanding Motherhood, where we explore the complexity of the collective concept of motherhood and the way that impacts mothers, as individuals, and embodying the role within families. We look at three major energetic archetypes associated with parenting, from the perspective of the archetypal mother as we dive deeply into the roles of provider, defender and leader.  Within each message, you’ll learn what those archetypes look like from higher perspectives.
