Amorahki: Hello everyone, and welcome back to this final episode of Superpowers of the Soul for 2023! This is Amorahki and I am so happy to be here today talking about how to discover your inspired work with our super fabulous guest, Kiley Redhead.
Kiley is the creator of The New School for Inspired Work, where she offers coaching and online programs to help people really discover who they are and what they have to offer so they can create their great work in the world that helps to move humanity forward.
I think many of us are noticing that we’re entering a new era of work. As Kiley says, we’re changing how we work and more importantly, we’re changing what we do for work and why. She says our work must now be grounded in purpose, expansive vision, and allow us to be our true selves – that person that we ultimately came into this lifetime to be.
One of the many, many things I deeply adore and appreciate about Kiley is that she stands so fiercely for people who really want to show up in the world in a brighter way, to make a valuable contribution, and live a life that is deeply meaningful and fulfilling at the same time.
She calls this your’ inspired work’ and I for one believe it’s a recipe for positive global impact and deep personal fulfillment. And what could be better than that?
In my experience, Kiley just has this incredible heart of gold, an impeccable level of integrity and such deep care for her clients and for our shared world. I’m super thrilled that she’s here with us today for this conversation, so let’s get her on. Kiley, welcome to the show! I’m so glad you’re here.
Kiley Redhead: Hi, Amorahki. Thank you so much for having me.
Amorahki: I’m so excited that you’re here today to talk about how to discover your inspired work and the shift in general that’s really starting to happen around how we work and why we work. I’d say evolution is in the air on the work front.
Kiley Redhead: Most certainly!
Amorahki: Well, before we get deep into that conversation, I’d love to start us off by asking you our favorite opener around here. What are your superpowers of the soul, Kiley, and how are you using them for good in your life right now?
Kiley Redhead: Well, I have many, as does everyone, which is part of the work that I do which is helping people discover their own superpowers. But if I were to choose one in this moment, I would say listening. Although, I wonder if that’s a superpower of the soul, or if it’s the superpower of my human self? I feel as though I use all my senses to hear people. I find a lot of my work is about helping people hear themselves and to do that, I have to see what they’re saying, hear what they’re saying, feel what they’re saying and eventually, I find that they end up being able to hear themselves.
Amorahki: What an empowering superpower! There’s such a brilliance in that. It’s so funny how it can be so hard to hear ourselves sometimes, and to have that reflection really does light up the genius in others, and I’m sure you find that yourself.
Kiley Redhead: Absolutely! And sometimes I’m amused because when I reflect back to people what they tell me, they think I’m so brilliant and I’m literally repeating the words that they just spoke to me. I find it really interesting the difference between hearing ourselves from our head and from our heart, and I suppose I listen from the heart and that’s what I hear and it takes time I find for people to drop out of their mind and to actually connect with their heart and soul and hear themselves on that level.
Amorahki: But when they do, oh my goodness! What gets unleashed?! Well, we’re going to talk about that when we come back.
