Does listening to success stories excite your soul? In this episode of Wisdom of Ages, host Ayn Cates Sullivan and guest Sherri Rosen exchange interesting stories to inspire, heal, and uplift the soul. Sherri is known for her storytelling talent and her publicity firm in New York. She slowly began to grow her storytelling passion since she was little because of her father. She realized how amazing those stories were and thought of sharing them with the other children. Because of this, Sherri became a book publicist and started to write various true stories, including her life stories. Please tune in and join Ayn and Sherri as they bring you into the world of tales to nurture the soul.
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
Welcome and blessings mystical travelers. This is Ayn Cates Sullivan, host of Wisdom of the Ages, where we invite the sacred into modern-day reality. As a humanity, we are at a critical turning point. Are we going to take the opportunity and step into a new age of health and peace and prosperity and consciousness? Are we going to choose fear-based limitation? Which are we going to do? I say it’s time to be daring, loving, and strong, to tell new stories, to steer our own ship, creating a world we all wish to live into. We can shift towards a culture of life, one loving thought word and conscious action at a time-.
So each week I offer stories, interviews, and spiritual monologues to inspire, heal, and uplift the soul. And you can listen to many more episodes on superpowerexperts.com/wisdom-of-the-ages. And if you love mystical stories, you can find many tales of success stories to nurture your soul on my publishing website, infinitelightpublishing.com. And speaking of stories to feed the soul, I have a real treat for you today. My guest is Sherri Rosen. She’s known both for her storytelling talent and her publicity firm in New York. So Sherri Rosen, welcome to the show.
Sherri Rosen:
Hi, Ayn. I’m so happy to be here. It’s great to connect.
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
I am, too. We finally did it. I love it. I love it. I just want you to share with us something of your love of storytelling.
Sherri Rosen:
Actually the storytelling, without me realizing it, started when I was a little girl. And I began to realize that my father told some amazing stories, but he never shared them with the rest of the family. He would share them with me. And as I got older, I said to him, “Why don’t you share the stories with the children? They would love these stories as a legacy.” And I realized that there was no legacy like the Indian, the native Americans have this storytelling that’s a legacy, that’s part of their culture. And there was nothing in my family to know about anybody’s history. So fast forward many years later when I became a book publicist in New York City, I started writing true stories and about my life and only true stories.
And then one thing led to another. And a couple of years ago, I got involved in storytelling and live storytelling, it was before COVID, in front of live audiences. And now doing it on Zoom, again, I realize it’s a wonderful way for me to leave this as a legacy to my family, but it’s also an amazing way to connect with complete strangers. Some of the stories I tell and other people tell on the same show that we’re on, we would never know this stuff just in dialogue, but all of a sudden, some of the stories of very intimate and you really get a bigger picture of people that you ordinarily wouldn’t get just by saying hello. And now with COVID, I was frustrated that I couldn’t perform in front of a live audience, but I realize the plus side of it is now I can reach out across the world and reach out to different cultures and listen to stories of people overseas, everywhere, and learning about their cultures. And perhaps this would never have happened if it wasn’t during COVID. So that’s the plus side of being able to do this online now.
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
True. Now we’re able to connect. Zoom has been fantastic and now we’ve really become one global family. We’ve all been forced to, which is so interesting. And just looking at your website, I can see that you work with all kinds of authors from all around the world. I met F. T. Camargo wrote Shanti and The Magic Mandala, which was so beautiful. I think he’s from South America. And then you have different authors here from Africa and indigenous elders from all around the world. Really, really fascinating. So I’m going to take a quick break. Can you give us your website so people can check you out and learn more about different success stories?
Sherri Rosen:
Sure. It’s sherrirosen.com, I try to keep it simple.
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
That’s good. And so we’ll talk about success stories, publicity, which I think every author who was interested in writing a book, new authors, would be fascinated by. Also, I’m hoping at the end that you might maybe share one of your stories.
Sherri Rosen:
Sure. I would love that, yeah. Cool.
Ayn Cates Sullivan:
Okay, great. Stay tuned. We’ll be right back.
