Well, good blessings. This is the Wisdom of the Ages podcast show where we invite the sacred into modern day reality. A few years ago, I went on a quest in Wales searching for myth and legend, and this type of adventure or pilgrimage always takes us to surprising places and you never know who or what you might encounter. It was during that time that I had the pleasure of meeting Saira Salmon who has been pivotal in defining what grail wisdom is for the modern age.
I’m going to offer a little quote that comes from her goes like this, “We all have a story and the stories we tell define not just who we are as individuals, but also inform the societies we create, also our values and beliefs. If we are looking for role models for the New Age, the ancient past of Britain, the blessed Isles have much to offer us.”
I’m going to introduce her formally. Saira Salmon is a naturopathic, can you traditionist and holistic health teacher. She is also the founder of the Lost Wisdom Series of teleseminars, which are fantastic. I really suggest you go and check them out. Her integrated vision has won her a faithful following. Hello, Ann and thank you for having me on.
It’s really good to connect with you again. I thought it was quite magical to meet in the, well I guess very damp now, countryside landscape of Wales.
Yes, yes, it’s dripping wet even as we speak. But yeah, so we had a wonderful time together when you were here, didn’t we?
We really did.
Did some exploring. Yeah, so it’s lovely to be chatting with you again.
It’s really good. There’s something about the British Isles that is quite special. When you walk the landscape there, there are stories that are etched into the soil and somehow standing in these places. These lines activates something. When you’re looking, when you’re questing for myth and legend, it’s really quite the place, wouldn’t you say?
Very much so, yeah. These are very special lands. They’re ancient lands. As you say that, there’s a lot of myth just soaked into the soil at every single level. But more than that, they’d been recognized down through the ages as being a special place. It’s a place where you can access the spiritual, you can access the invisible worlds more easily. It’s a gateway and ancient wisdom keepers would come to the British Isles to study in order to link into the wisdom that seems to be, it’s imbued in the soil here. If you know how to read it, it’s there. They are. They’re very special islands, very special islands, all sorts of levels. (Invisible Worlds)
So, you’ve done this whole Wisdom of the Grail series. Well, I was involved in the Wisdom of the Grail series, which I really enjoyed. My thought about the grail and what the grail is, changed after being involved with you and the many different voices that came out in that teleseminar. Do you want to talk about this series?
Yes, yes. It was called the Lost Wisdom Series and there were three teleseminars that made it up. First of all, was the Lost Wisdom of the Grail. Then followed by the Lost Wisdom of the Earth and the Lost Wisdom of the Ancestors and really, it was an impulse, one of those undeniable impulses. I know you understand this, Ann, that I got to do this and I’ve never done anything like it before, didn’t even know I had the technical know how to do it. But bit by bit, things… When you’re being asked to do something, somehow the help comes, doesn’t it?
Yes.
Yeah. It’s really talking… The aim of the series of telesummits was to start to introduce, to give people a sense of their own potential. Let’s talk a moment about what the grail is. Most people know of the grail through the legends of King Arthur, in the Knights of the round table, or heard of it in that context, and of the quest of the Knights to find the Holy grail. Then in those tales, the grail is a car. In the latter versions of these tales, these tales were sort of formalized in medieval times in the middle ages, and in the latter tales that came along, it was very much associated with Christianity and being… The grail was associated with being the cup that Christ had at the last supper.
But actually, it goes back beyond that. You can trace grail stories back before Christianity into Celtic times where it was a cauldron rather than a cup as such. It’s always had special qualities attached to it. When you start to look at the symbolic aspects of what lies in all these various myths and wisdom teachings that sit around the grail, really it’s about, for me, it comes down to self-realization. It’s about self-realization of the individual soul. It’s we are all here for… We are eternal beings and we are effectively on a bit of a, sort of a revolving door coming into and out of this life as we evolve our consciousness, evolve our souls as it were. The grail is our quest. This is what we’re looking for. We’re looking to find that divinity within us, to find divine spark within us and to grow it. (Invisible Worlds)

This is what was so fascinating because I realized working with you, I love the stories of King Arthur and also the stories of the fairy grail or the cauldron of the Celtic cauldron, but I started to understand that the grail can be… The grail wisdom is the path to consciousness, which I’m really excited to talk about on this show.
