Hi everyone. This is Ashley Palmer and welcomes us back to the We Rise Channel. On today’s episode of We Rise, we have a special guest, Emily Taylor. Guys, I am so excited to have Emily on. Emily is my ride or die, one of my best friends in the whole entire world. We met serving together. We served on the kids’ worship team at our church. We trained as leaders together. We kind of grew up together. We were co-teachers together. Now we’re coworkers together. We lived a life together. We grew up together. She is an amazing friend, a great encourager, and someone who always inspires me. Emily. Welcome. I’m excited to talk to you about how you can say yes to dancing with the divine.
Hi, I’m so excited to be here.
I’m so excited to have you on. I know this has been in talks for a while and you are just as much part of the developer of this channel as I am. You, me, Tonya, the whole Recla family have all developed this together, which is extremely cool just to walk that. I don’t know and I’m so honored that you’re here now. We’re talking on an episode and it’s crazy because everyone’s just listening to our normal conversations.
Yep.
So cool.
That we would be having regardless of if we were recording it or not.
Okay, well, we have to start off with a question that we ask every single person. What is your superpower and how do you use it to help others rise?
That is a huge question.
It’s loaded.
I know. So I think that my superpower is loving people hard, to a fault almost. I’m very loyal and loyalty is very important to me. And I think that I give that to every person that I meet. And it’s just, I love my friends so hard that I will stand up for them if they’re in the room or if they’re not in the room. It’s just part of who I am. And I love those people so much.
I love that. That is so great. I think that also like that is: So for anyone who doesn’t know, we’ll probably be talking about the Enneagram just a little bit, not our main topic, but the Enneagram is a nine different personality test that basically you just if you adapt it through your childhood, it’s not like you change it. It’s not evolving. It’s kind of like just different numbers that you can be like, “Okay, this is general.” And then you can build off of that. I highly recommend checking it out. It’s amazing, but you are a type seven, wing six and the sixes are the loyalist, which I think is so great, because you love people so hard that it is your greatest strength and sometimes, not to call you out, but your greatest weakness because you just latch on to people and love them hard. And as a wing two, I’m a three wing two. It can be, I’m the achiever, and I wing a helper and you wing the… What is the six?
The sixth is the loyalist.
Yes.
And the seventh is the enthusiast.
Is the enthusiast.
Which is the main part.
Yes. Yes. So, yeah. And I think that is so cool because I love people. That’s one of my superpowers too, and it can be a fault to where we get walked on, but I think you love people so beautifully to where you use it to your advantage to love people and include them.
