Furthermore, she believes that she has the capability to locate the middle ground between two points of view. Tune in and join Ashley and Maria as they talk about finding balance and justice.
Ashley Palmer:
Welcome back everyone to the We Rise channel. I’m so excited to bring another episode to you guys today. I have a super awesome guest. Her name is Maria Crimi Speth, and she is super cool. I have a really cool introduction for her. She is a kicking businesswoman. She’s super awesome. Okay, so she is a shareholder for the law firm, Jaburg, and Wilk, and she is just amazing at that. Just, goal after goal, very well known in the law world, which is not my… I know nothing about it, but I know that she is well-known and super cool. Also, something really cool about her is that she is chair of the board for YWCA and their mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, ah yes, and provide dignity, freedom, peace, and justice for all. This girl, she’s so cool. Not only did that mission align with her personal mission, but it’s just super cool, so I’m super excited to hear all about her today, to let you guys hear about it. Welcome, Maria.
Maria Crimi Speth:
Thanks, Ashley. I’m very excited to be here and I love your enthusiasm and thank you for that wonderful introduction.
Ashley Palmer:
Of course. I’m super excited. Well, we have to get in and ask you the question of the hour; what is your superpower and how do you use it to help others rise?
Maria Crimi Speth:
My superpower, if I had to use one word to describe my superpower, would probably be balance or justice. What I’m really, really good at and what comes naturally to me is finding balance in situations and finding justice in situations. As a lawyer, I want everybody to have justice. That’s really important to me, but I think that what comes easy to me, that I think doesn’t come easy to a lot of people, is seeing the middle ground in things. There are so many extreme points of view these days, where people believe one way or they believe the other way, and they think it’s black and white and they don’t leave room for that in between, because there’s always an in between. Anytime you have any topic, any issue, or any disagreement, the truth lies someplace in the middle. I have a superpower of being able to see that middle ground; that balance between two points of view.
Ashley Palmer:
Wow. That’s awesome. I feel like I do not have that. That is so cool. I’m really excited to hear more about that because I feel like that is such a talent and it’s… I feel like you can develop it, but you must be grounded… Honestly, it’s probably a gift you’re born with, being able to develop and see the middle. That’s just really cool. That’s awesome, that perfectly aligns with your career, which means you’re so good at what you do, which means you can enjoy. Do you know what I’m saying? It’s perfect.
Maria Crimi Speth:
Yeah. It is a nice fit with what I do for a living. Yes.
Ashley Palmer:
That is so cool. Okay. Well, before we dive more in, I want to hear all about you and just everything that you do. But before that, we are going to take a quick minute break, but would you like to plug some of your socials in. Where can people find you? Your website? Where can we find you?
Maria Crimi Speth:
Sure. Our firm is Jaburg Wilk. We’re a full-service law firm and our website is jaburgwilk.com. One of the really cool things about our website is we have a ton of articles on all kinds of legal topics that people might want to know about, so check out our website.
Ashley Palmer:
That is awesome. Okay. Sweet. All right. We’re going to take just a quick break and we’ll be back.
