Mass adoption of high vibrational living requires normalizing spirituality into consciousness. In this episode of Disrupt Reality, Tonya Dawn Recla talks with Kristine Fredheim about the importance of being open about our relationship with the Divine and guiding others in this pursuit. Kristine is the beautiful being behind the Soul Cards tarot deck. Listen in to find out how to dive more deeply into relationship with Spirit and create a life guided by the Divine. Â
Hello everyone. This is Tonya Dawn Recla your Super Power Experts. I always say “excited”, so I was looking for another word today. But I’m excited about this conversation. One of the things that we really live for here at Super Power Experts and at the SuperPower Up! Network is this idea of making it, it’s okay, right? It’s okay to be yourself. It’s okay to expand out. It’s okay to venture into spaces that might feel a little scary and certainly aren’t normal in your social spheres. That’s okay. Sometimes we’re called on to be pioneers, and so how do you do that in a world where the traditional physical reality is set up on such a pedestal, and that this other stuff feels fluffy. We’re exploring this concept of normalizing spirituality, spiritual growth, personal development, human potential, all of that enmeshed in one.
But in order to do that, we have to start acknowledging that some of this might be real, and there might be implications for it being real, and what is even “it” that we’re talking about, right? Today’s guest is coming on so we can have this beautiful dialogue around normalizing spirituality. By that we don’t mean watering it down, right, in any stretch of the imagination. It means taking that amazing access that is that relationship with the divine, and integrating it into all aspects of our lives, and being okay talking about it, and saying, “Yeah, I have a spiritual practice, and this is what I follow.” We’ve gotten very vocal about being in service to the divine in what we do, and the rewards because of it, right? The kind of life we get to live here. Spirituality is part of that.Â
We’re talking today with Kristine Fredheim about normalizing that experience by saying, “It’s okay,” and encouraging people to be a little bit more open about that. She has this beautiful, beautiful approach to things. She has sold cards that are done in both black and in a blush, which is such a fantastic concept, about where are you coming into that, and how are you normalizing that, and what draws you in, or where are you at in this particular level of growth? Her whole shtick around that and an emphasis is to make sure that people know that this stuff is okay to engage with. I’m super excited to bring her on and talk about her experience coming to that, and how she helps others dive more deeply into their own spiritualism. So without further ado, please join me in welcoming Kristine to the show. Kristine, welcome. Thanks for joining us.
Thank you so much, and thank you for that wonderful introduction. I am so honored and so excited to be on the show and talk about all things spirituality wise. I’m so excited.
Well, beautiful. We’re so glad to have you, and it’s great to dive into this with you. Our first question is, what are your superpowers?
My Super Powers, my God. I think of myself as the coolest super power where I feel like I’m a human lie detector, so I can tell when people are lying immediately. But no, I’m a psychic medium, and I give readings and I also work on cases where I look at old cases to solve them, or missing person cases, and stuff like that, and also a writer. Spirituality is a part of that.Â
Beautiful.
I just like to use all my spiritual gifts and my contact with spirit, and help as much as I possibly can.
Beautiful. Beautiful. Yeah. I love that concept. My husband and I are both former counter intel agents with the government here in the States. We worked with some folks that got brought in on certain cases. We call them cold cases here, and so we’ve had a number of psychics on who assist in that. It’s such a fantastic aspect that a lot of people don’t think about. It’s neat that you’ve had those experiences. But today I really want to dive into this idea of, first, in order to normalize it, I think we all have to be willing to share how we came to that and spirituality. Was it totally accepted where you are, and in your feelings was that something.
No.
No.
Absolutely not.
Hardly maybe. I don’t know if I’ve met anyone yet who said yes, but maybe you know somebody. So what was that like for you?
Well, I’m 32 years old now, so when I was a child it was still not really talked about. But my momma has always been spiritual, but once she was married to my dad, it wasn’t a topic that we talked about at home. But I came home from kindergarten and I would be like, “Why doesn’t anyone see what I see,” and I would just be very frustrated about that I could see spirit and I’d point out, and the kids wouldn’t understand. These things kept happening where I could say and sense things about other people, and I was always very vocal about it.
My parents sat down with me and said, “Hey girl, listen. This is something that we should keep between these four walls. It’s something that other people wouldn’t understand, and you’re going to have a bigger understanding of it when you grow older because it might just go away.” So I kept it to myself until I was in my teens. Then I started talking about it because it was just so natural to me, my experiences, and I’ve always been a very open and honest person. So I talked to my friends about it, and I talked to people about it. Then of course I was bullied. I’ve been called a witch, which I now find is a compliment because witches are badass.
I just followed my own path where helping other people and finding that intention of why and what I wanted to use my gift for really helped me feel sane. But I had to work a lot on my self-worth, a lot on my emotional stuff to be able to really stand in it a hundred percent. Now I feel so strong in my superpower, or what you want to call it, that nothing can really rock it. But in the beginning it’s scary for sure, and when you’re scared it doesn’t always help listening to your intuition either. It’s like pushing things away from you. So the more comfortable you are with yourself, the stronger the gift, and the stronger you can stand. So yeah.
Beautiful, beautiful. Thank you so much for that really open and transparent share. I appreciate that. Folks, go check out these cards. They’re absolutely gorgeous, soulcardstarot.com. Be sure to go check those out there. She’s just done a great job of encapsulating the heart and spirit of the Tarot, which is deep, deep in its wisdom.
