Hello everyone and welcome back to The Science of Superpowers. We’re so delighted that you’re here with us and even more delighted about our guest today. You always hear me say that I have the most fabulous life, I get the greatest experiences. I really do live a miraculous existence and today is no exception because I get the opportunity to talk with Master Sha about the concept of mastery. So if you’re not familiar with him, then absolutely go check him out at drsha.com, we’ll have links on the page. But as a manner of introduction, which he needs no introduction, as soon as he starts talking you’ll feel it. But the reason why he’s coming on today to talk about this concept of mastery is that as I sat looking at his information and who he is in the world and really feeling into it, that just came to the surface and I think that what’s lacking in so many of our conversations these days is, what does it take?
What is the commitment to mastery? What should we be committing in terms of mastering before we try to teach it to others? Before we profess to be well-versed in something. Before we really spread it into the world. And I think we saw through all of the pandemics last year, the real result when we spread information that hasn’t been synthesized, that perhaps we don’t have direct experience with but are taking at face value. Maybe haven’t even dug into it all, or even asked critical questions or thought critically about it and so that’s really at the heart and soul of this concept around mastery. What should we be doing? Or what should we be looking for in people who are guiding us and leading us and teaching us and where does that responsibility piece come in. Both for the creator of the information, the consumer of the information.
And so that’s some of what we’re going to talk about today and he’s absolutely a master in this topic because of the areas that he’s gone through to become deemed that, to be held in that. Including 11 New York Times Best Sellers, over 25 books, and its healer, teacher, the commitment to your craft seem to be a little lost in this immediate gratification sort of era that we’re in. And so I’m really excited to have this deep conversation today with Master Sha. So please join me in welcoming him to the show. Welcome so much. We’re so glad to have you here.
I’m a delight to serve. Thank you.
Beautiful, beautiful. And we’ll ask you our first question. What are your superpowers and how are you using them for good?
I will say superpower is with everybody’s heart. On September 9th, I received a song from heaven. You said a God or source the song is I love my heart and soul. I love all humanity. Join the heart and the souls together. Love peace, harmony. Love peace, harmony. That’s just the words. Could I sing one time?
Please do.
Everybody relax when you listen to the show. I love my heart and soul. I love our humanity. Join hearts and souls together. Love, peace, and harmony. Love, peace, and harmony.
I have the biggest grin on my face right now. That is wonderful. I love that. I did not know what to expect and that was fabulous on so many levels. Thank you so much for sharing that. What a gift that is, thank you. So one of the things I’m most fascinated about with you is, just your clear call to be in it. Undeniably, you illuminate this light from within. Has your experience always been like that? Or did you have to work to get there?
I think I may talk about why for two minutes. At age six, I went to the park. The Tai Chi, Chinese Tai Chi movement. There I saw one Master pushing hands with one of his disciples, making a circle like this. Zen, the Master lifts to move the hand, the disciple, pull 50 feet away like flew out. I was six years old. I ran to the Master. I said, in Chinese, it means grandfather for respect. I said, “I want to learn this.” And he looked at me, tiny guy, such a tiny guy. He said, “No, you’re too young to learn this.” I said, “No, no, no, no, no, I want to learn this.” And he said, “Where’s your parent?” I ran to my parents, I said “Father, mother, I want to learn this.” With the great support of my parents, I started my Chinese Tai Chi journey at age of six.
I love that story. In our world, our daughter came to us when she was two. My husband and I were in the counterintelligence field. We were counter-intel agents and we left the government to pursue our dreams as entrepreneurs. And so at two, she asked us for business cards because she was seeing us in networking events and stuff and we said no. And she said, “Well, why not?” And I’m like, “I don’t know. The answer’s just no. They’re for adults.” And she’s like, “Why?” She kept on this trajectory and her dad and I had made a pact with each other and with her that if we couldn’t come up with a good explanation or a good reason in this kind of alternative paradigm we were wanting to rear her in, then we had to take a look at that and we couldn’t come up with a good reason. So she got business cards and the rest, as they say, is history because what that did for her is similar to what I think that one moment in time did for you.
It was the awareness that you are already whole unto yourself. And while we don’t necessarily always have the culture, the societal constructs to support that, we can see it if we allow ourselves to look and by seeing her and ultimately led to viewing her in her wholeness and really allowing her to become remarkably well-rounded at a young age, it proved to us at least that it’s possible. Certain variables have to be present. Certainly, they were able to see something in you that said that you would be able to synthesize that information. She was similar and it’s still possible. It still proves that it’s possible. And so I love the fact that you were like, no, I’m not taking that as the answer. Similar to her, I don’t know myself as limited therefore what if I didn’t experience life that way. I think it’s beautiful.
Yes. And you know, every Saturday, Sunday, I follow the master, doing Tai Chi. In one posture, and it’s very big, my leg is wide open. I keep the posture. Then the teacher said, “Stay there. You know you stay wide open the legs, stand on the floor for five minutes okay. For the time is that you need to be tired.” That leads to longer you really cannot stand. But the teacher, seeing the teacher standing there, sees nothing. Therefore at the age of six, I was trained at persistence. Trained at power, patience, and all kinds of qualities. At age 10 I found the Grand Master to study meditation, age 10.Â
I studied ancient Feng Shui. Finally, I studied Western medicine, MD traditional Chinese medicine as a doctor or for traditional Chinese medicine. Also, I learned from a spiritual father to learn soul healing, spiritual healing. Now I have created a thousand spiritual healers worldwide. So therefore I am the lucky one since I was a child. You asked me, how do you grow this kind of nature? It just through life. I have grown this up. Happy, joyful, and open my heart. What do you need from me? I position myself as a servant of humanity, what I can serve you, I’m there for you.
Beautiful, beautiful. I love that. And folks, we’re going to take a quick break talking about Mastery with Dr. Sha. And when we come back from the break, we’re going to dive into mastery even further. But as we go to the break, really hold in your hearts, understand the power. We shared two stories, very different, but both involving young people who somebody was willing to say, but what if? But maybe. But perhaps. Maybe we can stretch beyond how we perceive the world currently. And I want you to really hold that because each of you has somebody in your existence, a young person, maybe someone who’s not younger than you but is wanting somebody to just reflect back and say, “Yeah, why not? Let’s see if it can work.” Maybe it won’t work. Maybe it won’t be as successful as we want it to be. But ultimately, what if we try? What if we just step into it? And I think that there’s so much power in that.
Be sure that you check out Dr. Sha’s or Master Sha’s material at drsha.com and we’ll have a link there on the episode page, and for all things in the superpower space, for those of you listening, thank you so much. And you can always go to superpowerexperts.com if you want to step onto your path to unlock your superpowers. It’s all written in there but stay with us because we’re going to dive into this more deeply. I have lots of questions that I want to talk with Mr. Sha about and just allow him to impart on you that sort of energy that he was just talking about. Maybe there’s a connection between mastery and committing to being of service and so we’ll talk about that after the break. Stay with us and we’ll be right back.
