It is not new to us to hear the phrase: “everything dies,” right? Life and death are two things we cannot separate. In this episode of The Science of Superpowers, host Tonya Dawn Recla emphasizes how fear of death takes different shapes and faces over the eons to prevent humans from being the best versions of themselves during their lifetime. Tonya further states how people often root their decision-making in fear of dying. Tune in and join Tonya to know more about how to shatter this kind of rotten perspective and to slowly immerse ourselves into the realm of change and transformation, focusing on the greatness of life rather than the fear of dying.
Tonya Dawn Recla :
Hello everyone. And thank you for joining us again on The Science of Superpowers. I’m so glad to be here with you today. We’re talking today about this concept of “everything dies”. This is taken straight from the Science of Superpowers book. If you haven’t had a chance yet, go to superpowerexperts.com and you can get the book there. You can also join the Superpower Universe and get the book and all of our book releases as part of that for free, which is a fantastic opportunity for those members.
But in part one of the book, in the beginning, I talk about the idea that everything dies. I’m going to read you a little except here, and the part here says, “Human existence is one of death, everything dies. We like to pretty it up and say, “it’s the circle of life.” Nope, it’s death, plain and simple. If it exists, it dies. If it breathes, it dies, from the second it gets made, it starts the process of dying.”
Now, that’s kind of one of those like, “Whoa, what are you talking about?” and “That’s really depressing.” and “Why would we even go there?” And it’s important to really keep all of this in context, because the aspect of calling that out allows us the opportunity to say, “Okay, what is it that lies at the root of our basest elements, our basest fears.” Right? This is not a new concept. The idea that we live in fear of dying, has taken many, many, many shapes and faces over the eons and it still bears discussion because in our work, in our client base, what we see is people making decisions over and over and over again from a fear perspective that’s rooted in this idea of some fear element of dying.
If we can call that out and say, “Okay, this is what we’re talking about, everything will change, everything does transform, nothing stays the same,” we start to allow ourselves the opportunity to dive into the areas where we’re clinging to something that has gone way past its due date and it’s kind of rotting and it’s not serving us anymore, but we’re not wanting to let it go. We’re going to dive in today and look at why we do that and how do we stop doing that?
But before we go to the break and kind of culminate in this conversation, I want to plant the seed that we’re talking about different realities here. Right? And so, when we talk about everything dying, that’s an aspect of the material reality. Of course, we’re eternal beings. Right? And that kind of does a number on people because like, “Yeah, but you say that we’re infinite and where the Divine and we’re these eternal beings, and yet, here you’re saying that everything dies.”
Again, keep everything in context. One of the best tricks of our minds that’ll get us out of that frequency of oneness with the Divine and into that persona is the arguing, “Yeah but, yeah but, yeah but this is contradictory.” Trust me when I say that it’s always contradictory because the material world, that plane of existence, is different from what we call the abstract frequencies where we play in co-creation with the Divine. So it is different. And depending on which aspect of you is front and center or more salient in a moment, either you get that on a cellular level or you bang up against it and you want to kind of pick it apart and say, “Well, I don’t agree with this,” and “but you just contradicted yourself” and duh, duh, duh. Right. That aspect is specifically designed to keep us in that conversation, though that conversation has no end.
What we invite you to do instead is to come from that place where you’re gauging resonance. And when you know, like, “That feels really right but it doesn’t make any sense,” or, “it kind of makes my mind short-circuits,” or, “but what does that mean for me and my life?” Right? That’s the personas question, “But what does that mean for me? What am I going to have to give up? What am I going to lose? How sucky is the next thing going to be?” Right. Well, trust me when I say that if you stay true to this path, it gets even better and better and better. That’s a really unfounded fear that ultimately is rooted in death.
And so, we’re going to take a quick break, but remember to go to superpowerexperts.com and get in on that Superpower Universe. Certainly, you can join for free, as always, our gift to you, or you can participate in the IM series. But the plus membership gives you a lot more opportunity to connect with us and to the perks and deeper information. For those of you who are serious about really stepping on that path, I invite you to take advantage of that membership. We’re going to take a quick break. When we come back, we’re going to keep talking about this idea of “everything dies”. Stay with us, and we’ll be right back.
