Choose Your Divine Adventure
Are you excited to choose your own divine adventure? How can we grow holistically as an individual? In this episode of Reclamation, The Reclas: Justin, Tonya, and Neva talk about the concept of choosing your adventure. The said concept explicitly makes its presence known in this world. They also revolve their conversation about how marriage helped strengthen Justin’s connection with the divine and paved the way for his growth as an individual. Hello, everyone. Welcome back to Reclamation. We’re so excited that you’ve decided to join us today again, in these episodes. We delight in being able to share this time together as a family and let you glimpse inside some of the conversations that we have, and yes, of course, we actually have these conversations at home. We’re sharing them with you because we think it’s important for families to talk with each other and to navigate things and to take those moments together, and that’s what really builds a solid foundation.
Today, we’re going to be talking about this concept of choosing your divine adventure. I’m joined with Neva and Justin. We’re discussing this because this is a topic in our IM series of the same name, Choose Your Divine Adventure. For those of you in transformational work, you probably have similar experiences in the sense that as we synthesize or bring content forward, a lot of times it’s working us, right, we’re living it.
There, we’re no exception as individuals and as a family and in all our various relationships herein, in the team Reclaville. So, this concept to choose your divine adventure has been really present for me as it’s sort of birthing and coming through and presenting itself to the world, and it’s fascinating to see the proof, right? We talk a lot about the miracles and the frequency of miracles and the trust and the faith walk. My, I’m not shy about saying my agreement with God has always been to walk in step, in faith. Then, I always get to understand, God knows, I like to understand. So I get to do that, but I can’t base my faith on it. I can’t make it about understanding and feeling okay before I step out on faith.
That’s a lot of what the choose your divine adventure is about. So I want to ask Justin, we do a lot of this together, like you and I got married on these vows of walking together toward God, of walking into oneness together, of really honoring that divinity in each other, even if it were to mean that our paths were going to diverge, whatever meant we weren’t going to stand in the way of each of us feeling that whole relationship with God, and not everyone does that, right? Not everybody thinks to do that. What was that experience like for you?
Justin Recla:
For me, it was, first off my journey with seeking God and finding a relationship with the divine has been an ongoing process, one that’s continually evolved throughout the years, and dare I say, got accelerated the moment I met you.
Tonya Dawn Recla:
Amp that suckers up a little bit.
Justin Recla:
Ramp it up a little bit, right? But really what my experience was is that, in our commitment together, because we even had it in our vows, that we would serve as each other’s mirror along the way. But it’s the fact that you got to have your relationship with God, I got to have my relationship with God, and together we were walking closer to that with our marriage entity. So it was really great because it gave me room to grow. It gave you room to expand out even further into the universe and the ether. For me, it was just, it was freedom because I didn’t feel like I had to fit myself or my relationship with the divine into a box just to be in a relationship with you.
Tonya Dawn Recla:
That’s really beautiful. That’s incredibly well said. We’re going to take a pause, and when we come back after the break, we’re going to talk with Neva about what the divine adventure looks like from her lens.
