Seek Forgiveness

Once we take responsibility for our actions and light up with the power that comes from holding ourselves accountable, we see the next phase revealed. In this phase, we seek forgiveness. This may be with another person, within ourselves and/or with the Divine. Ultimately, we’re most resistant to the process of atonement because something deep inside of us knows that any affront is an affront against God and, let’s face it, that’s a little terrifying. But the promise remains and if we open ourselves to receiving forgiveness, it’s ours to receive. In this step of the process, we learn how to detach from atonement as an external game to realizing it’s fully and wholly an inside job.
