How do you learn to lead the leader? On today’s episode of Incorporating SuperPowers, host Justin Recla speaks with licensed dentist and hypnotherapist Claudia Tan on how to help entrepreneurs overcome their fears of leveling up their business. Claudia helps business owners lead better by implementing a system of managers in place and helps them step more fully into who they are. Tune in to today’s episode to hear more about learning to lead the leader.
Welcome to another episode of Incorporating Super Powers. For those of you that are leaders, for those of you that are in small business, I’d be willing the ways that you got into business, not just to make money, but because you wanted to have an impact on the world. And I know how easy it is to get lost in the mindset of thinking that you’re going to have to do all the work all the time, especially when you’re first getting started, which is why I’m super excited to have my guest today, Claudia.
She is a licensed dentist. Yes, I said dentist, but before you stop listing, this is important, because she’s also a licensed hypnotherapist and she specializes in working with entrepreneurs to help them evolve their leadership ability, learning how to lead.
This is something that when you’re in the midst of doing it, it’s often easy to get lost in who you are, your subconscious programming and so forth, which is why I’m super excited to have Claudia on the show today, because she works with entrepreneurs and helping them uncover and discover who they are too, so they become better leaders, so they can put more people in place to do the work, so that they can leave the rat race, so they can go and have a bigger impact on the world. Claudia, welcome to the show.
Hi, Justin. Thank you so much for inviting me to be on your show. It’s an amazing opportunity. I’m so happy to be here. Thank you.
No, this is going to be fun. I know this is late at night for you, you’re over in Germany, but this is what I love about the power of podcasting, is that we can come together virtually, have these types of conversations and share information with those that are ready to hear it or receive it. So, Claudia, tell me a little bit more about your background in only dentistry, but in hypnotherapy and how that’s led into you developing what you call your personal excellent score. Can you share with our listeners a little bit more about your backstory?
Sure. I started out as a dentist, and in that time I was treating patients who have allergies and some kind of chemical allergies or phobia and stuff like that. And it’s very difficult to treat those patients if they are in a tension kind of state. So, I learned hypnosis to just be able to put these patients into a relaxed state of mind, which made the treatment very easy, and for them a revelation, probably the only time in their life when they were able to feel relaxed in such a tense surrounding. Who goes happily to the dentist? I know very few people who go to the dentist and are not stressed.
I don’t go to the dentist for fun. I don’t know how many people that actually go to the dentist for fun. So, the fact that you’re able to make it fun and relaxing is always a plus.
Yes. What I was noticing that in those people that after the treatment, after the hypnosis, they woke up and transformed, which made me believe that by getting access to the subconscious mind, we work with the subconscious mind when we do hypnosis, that in a way it helps people to reconnect to themselves or to discover their abilities that they didn’t even know of. So, from there, this subconscious mind was so interesting for me that I left the dentist area and went deeper into that. So, I tried and became a hypnotherapist and I started to work with patients who have chronic issues, and they were stuck in that mindset that this is something that is incurable and they will have to live with that disease for the rest of their lives. This is not the case. I had fun helping them to shift this perspective in this area.
So, after doing this 10, 15 years, I started to think, “This is so powerful, this tool, and the people get empowered by this, but I feel it needs to be spread out in the world. More people need to know about this. How can I reach more people?” Well, I thought by picking some knots in the network, and these are entrepreneurs because these are influencers. Entrepreneurs are dealing with larger amounts of people in their company. And if entrepreneurs are able to communicate on a different level and they are able to address the subconscious minds of their people, of their team, people on their team, they will be able to get a lot of different outcome from there, because ultimately the subconscious mind is the instance where we take the decisions from.
We just don’t know we’re making the decisions that we’re making, because it’s been done consciously. I want to pause right here, because this is a good segue for us to go into a break, because, folks, what she’s talking about here is that if you’re an entrepreneur, if you’re in business, if you want to have a big impact, you have to first look at your own programming, you have to look at the decisions that you’re making, you have to own that. And so it’s absolutely brilliant, Claudia, that you’re working with entrepreneurs, because like you said, they are the ones that are going to be out there to go have an impact on the world. The employee is absolutely playing their part in the world. But as far as making an impact and making an impact within the business to the organization, whereas entrepreneurs and business owners have a far spreading reach to have an impact. So, this is super important. I’m going to dive into this a little bit further when we get back from break. Claudia, where can people go to find you to learn more about what it is you do and to take your personal excellence test?
Yes. Well, for the test for the personal excellence course, they would go to personal-excellence-score.com. And to learn more about me master2minds.com.
Fantastic. Folks stay tuned. We’re going to dive into what this looks like and what this means for you right after the break
