• Verify spelling
  • This is CRUCIAL. When the guest’s name is spelled differently in multiple locations, our production team has to stop and research who the person is and how they spell their name. Please be consistent and accurate.

• Be sure you said this exact title at least twice before the break. It’s easiest to say it in the intro and again leading into the break.

Show rating

• This is CRUCIAL. We want to respect the system’s that allow people to be in choice. Since we have a variety of shows on the network, we want to be extremely clear about the content we produce.
• A show is explicit if it contains any of the following:
  •     vulgarity or curse words
  •     sexual content
  •     violent descriptions
  •     essentially run it through a typical parent’s filter, anything over PG is explicit
• If in doubt, mark it explicit

If this episode fits into one or more of the categories, select the best one. This will tag your episode to air on both the network and one of our channel properties.

• Our team will use this information to create the episode summary that gets posted in the final product and all over social media.

Was there an issue with the recording that makes it currently unusable?

We do not fully edit our episodes. Instead we choose to present a “real” look at conversations. If a dog barks, so what. If someone coughs, so what. We aren’t aiming for perfect, we’re giving people a glimpse into what it looks like to engage in authentic ways. However, occasionally something happens that must be addressed. This should be the exception, not the norm. If that occurs, be sure to include full details in this section. 

• Keep in mind that for some unusable audio files, we may not be able to air the episode
• If “yes” above, please explain the issue in detail. Provide time hacks so the audio editors can easily find the problem.
