Jacque Nelson is an inspirational speaker and author. She has co-authored two books and numerous audio recordings with her husband Donald Nelson and has presented numerous national and international workshops on Living Without Edges with The Mary Group – a group of nine spirit beings whom they have worked with for over 16 years.
I am just feeling all kinds of warm and fuzzy right now. I’ve been talking with our guest today, Jacque Nelson. She’s just lovely. You just want to curl up on her lap and let her give you a big hug and sit at her feet. She’s beautiful. She channels a group of entities who call themselves, The Marys. You’re going to know why and why they chose her and all of it is perfectly aligned. I really want her to share with you her story on this. Welcome, Jacque. Thank you for joining us.
Thank you. Hello, everybody. What a great thing. I will just say to you, right back at you, I can curl up on a couch with you too and just have a great conversation that could just go forever.
Thank you for that also. We start by just throwing people into the mix and say, what are your superpowers?
It’ll be seventeen years on March 18 that I began channeling a group of spirits called The Marys. They showed up unexpectedly. Yet, I always say that in the moment they came, for me, it was like, of course. It was the most natural thing. That came from having been a human resource director for a long time, so quite a change. My superpower is opening up to receiving this incredible exchange with spirits and sharing that with absolutely anybody and everybody who is open and ready, or whatever. Sometimes we don’t know we’re open and ready, and we are, to becoming everything that you actually are, and getting to talk to spirits in the midst of it.
I’ve been really transparent on this show saying that one of my secret weapons is my husband, who’s also a channel, a medium. He’s flushing all that out for himself. There were many times when I just didn’t know who to go to for some of the questions that were coming up for me. I wasn’t confident enough to dig around in myself or I had too much doubt and little pieces that were questioning it. God love him, he would bring in these entities. I have a couple of videos of him channeling 56 dimensional beings that came through. It was such an amazing experience to be on the other side of that. You realize just how trivial a lot of our concerns are. I learned really quickly that if I asked too many questions that were trivial, they would just leave. They would just go. The challenge was for me to figure out how to ask questions in a particular way that were applicable, appropriate for even that level of knowledge. It really put things in perspective in a very expedited way. Kudos to you for being that and allowing that to come through. What’s that experience like for you?
Welcome to this place, where you have always been and never been before.
It’s an interesting question. It’s really hard to describe. Mary, one of their quotes, “Welcome to this place, where you have always been and never been before.” I would say that it’s like that. It’s the most familiar and extraordinary and -of-course place. It’s also so full of everything I can’t even imagine. For me, personally, when I listen to a recording or see a video of The Marys speaking, it’s an entirely different experience for me because whether I’m completely full-on Jacque watching or I’m out, because I release completely. I let go and they come in and they work with people directly. They are this epitome of love and wisdom and humor and just wonderment. It’s being washed in love for the entire time that I’m with them.
It’s very rejuvenating. I’ve been ill, gone into session with them. They don’t have the symptoms, so I show fine. When they leave, I say, “You can take that with you.” They’ll say, “It’s not ours.” They’re like, “No, no, it’s yours.” That’s one of the fun things about them, is they won’t interrupt our experience. They will assist us with knowing how to perhaps shift our own experience or how to really step into what we do wish to create as our experience. They give us countless tools to do that.
I often say, “If you can have the opportunity to sit on the couch with spirits and ask the anything you’d like, what would you ask?” It’s the most comfortable conversation that is so far reaching. They’re always moving. Like you said, sometimes you didn’t know quite how to go inside. They really help us go inside and ask those questions and learn how to retrieve our own information and have it be accurate. All those questions, like you said you were asking, sometimes people need to get through those so that they can get to what they really desire to know. The Marys have this great way of moving with people with that, and then also maybe coming around and asking them a question that’s what they’re really there for. It’s always honoring. It’s always amazing.
I want to take a moment to really shout out to my husband. I’ve known what a gift that was. In this moment, I’m realizing what an amazing gift that was for my journey, that he was willing to play that role for me. As you’re talking, I’m like, “That feels really great. I’ve had that.” Why have I had that? It’s like, “Of course, because he willingly was courageous and went into that with me.” I don’t know that I’ve told him that often enough, so I’m going to do it publicly right here now. It absolutely has not just expedited my experience but enlightened it and enriched it in such a way that it would have been otherwise. Big thanks to you, Love, and to you also.
You just inspired me to remember to be more consciously generous with my husband, with whom without him and all of his movement in this, I wouldn’t maybe even picked it up and run with it and actually let myself completely be that. My husband had the experience of feeling like the shoemaker’s children. Making shoes, he doesn’t have any. That’s moved through many different places and for both of us, because he was on the other end of that too. When I would move through something, he would help me, because I would say, “How about if you ask Mary my questions?” because I don’t want to come in close enough for that in there.” Of course over the years, it’s easy for me. They move with me or they tell me where to find the answer. Thank you for inspiring me to remember to really more and more offer that in my husband’s unfolding. He’s such a big part of this work.
I love meeting other couples who are doing similar stuff because I contend completely that the premise of the collaboration that Super Power Experts rest on had its start in my husband and I choosing to connect with each other in a very different way than what was “normal.” From the beginning, even when we were dating, even our vows were all written around the idea that we’re here to help bring each other closer to ourselves and to God, and however that looks. We allow for that growth without judgment of whether we are together for ten years or ten minutes or whatever that looks like, recognizing choice in that. I think we’re pretty committed to the journey together at this point. Just knowing that that was what it was founded on.
Then, our daughter, Neva, came into the picture. We made that same commitment with her as a third whole entity to come in now and figure out how does the family unit look like when you’ve got three whole entities. Justin has two kids from his first marriage, and how do they play in it, and really just not falling into the trap of, or trying not to, I guess. Certainly, it wasn’t perfect. It still isn’t. At least, having that as the stated intention of doing it differently. Often in the collaboration, I’m like, “That comes from this.” It’s the same concept. There’s no way I would have moved into this without that as the foundation.
Mary calls that the difference between a relationship being in agreement and being a contract. Don and I went to high school together. He was dating my best friend in high school. That’s an interesting story. We were friends. Then we came together later in life. Really, our great opening conversation that really brought us to where we are now is we had both just read The Celestine Prophecy and just excited about some of the concepts and stuff that were in that book way back then in that time. We had totally built our relationship on celebrating one another.
Mary talks about relationship is three consciousnesses. The self, it’s the consciousness of the relationship that actually becomes alive when two people come together. They’ll talk about how that can actually happen even in a fleeting connection, the consciousness is born. With the other person, they’ll talk about that we’re each our own primary relationship. We’re each other’s shared primary relationship. What do we each bring to and celebrate in and become from when we interact all of that together in that little space of that consciousness of the relationship?
You bring children into it. We have two remarkable children that I actually have from a previous marriage. Don, in every way, is also their parent. We raised our children and ourselves altogether. It was really about honoring and care and innocence and vibration, and bumps along the road because we’re humans. Yet, when you have that premise of honoring and bringing out the best in one another and encouraging that, it’s extraordinary. That’s beautiful.
There’s a lot of work to be done in those relationship sectors. I was very clear that Justin and I have chosen to model something different, not so much teaching, really in the modeling, we have our hands in other things. Creating the space for the entities and beings who want to come forward and really teach the principles of it. It’s cool to see the affirmation. The biggest thing that this collaboration has taught me is to relax into what I want to do and allowing the space for others to do what they want to do.
I had a cool conversation with one of our experts, Kim Potter, we were talking about how we reflect for each other in the work that each of us does and how they compliment. The real key came forward when I was able to say to him, “What happens in that magic or the way that magic unfolds is you being really phenomenal in what you do doesn’t threaten me. In fact, it enhances what I’m doing.” That’s the shift. I like that The Marys are talking about all this; agreement versus contracts, versus competition. We had some dialogue in there. It’s time for us to really enhance those dialogues and say, “Obviously, we all came here to do something together. We wanted to be together. It makes sense. How do we do it in a way that’s in alignment and that feels good, not pits us against each other?” I like everything that they have to say.
When Mary looks at that in its original form, is that rising one another up? That’s whether an intimate relationship or a community relation or whatever it is. When we can look to each other and let go of that trap, when we let go of our against and we remember to be with ourselves, in relationship with ourselves and then with one another, no matter what that relationship is, then that falls away and that against practice isn’t there. It’s just so phenomenally different. We can actually be in our true selves.
So much more is possible from that place than if we’re in the battle all the time.
So much more is possible from that place than if we’re in the battle all the time, whether it’s a spoken battle or an energetic battle, and just in that agreement of caring for. That’s one of The Marys other teachings, is that we were never meant to take care of anybody other than ourselves. Yet, we are to care for ourselves and every other particle of existence. So often we’d run into people saying, “I just want somebody to take care of me.” They would say, “No, you don’t. Not really.” If you do wish though for somebody to care for you in the midst of it all and for you to be able to care for others in the midst of it all, where we can all celebrate our belief in ourselves and one another and expand that. There’s no threat in that then because we’re truly not trying to get the same spot. We’re recognizing that each time somebody comes in, it’s an add and the space expands to make more room, and we all expand. It’s not that we’re all vying for the same small space. That’s the teaching of separation, that there’s not enough and we try to survive; instead of there’s more than enough always. In that, we can really thrive as we care for ourselves and one another.
There are so many valuable lessons within that. People ask, how did I come to be? How did that come? It was never formal. The point of it is that the parallels, I love the parallels and the affirmations and the processes. My job is to synthesize things and make it palatable and break it down. Not over-simplify it in any stretch of the imagination, but at least make it attainable in chunks. I so appreciate that affirmation. It brings up another question of, do they ever share with you why they came through?
Yes. They’ve talked about in this timing. Last year, they referred to it as they year of the “whoosh” and this year they’re referring to it as the year of the “prolific opening and grand gathering.” A lot was going on last year. People are going, “I’m whooshing. I’m whooshing.” Things are moving, really moving. They’re here to assist us always, moving from our long-standing practice of separation into our forward of union. They’ll give us an imagery of an infinity symbol. They’ll say, “Now, put your left hand on one end and your right hand on the other end of that. Let it be about shoulder-width apart and seal this energy of that infinity symbol.” Think about the energies of separation and union, just push those ends a little bit and feel that intersecting part of that infinity symbol start to open up. It’s not about separation and union being apart from each other. It’s starting to open that up. Then if you twist the right hand outward and the left hand in and you push a little harder, it pops into a sphere. That’s union popping open. There’s this time that we’re in as we come for this long practice of separation. Then coming into truly what we all know we’re here.
When that pops open on a whole, this energy is moving open, this prolific opening is happening within all of us. In the center of every particle of existence is creating. That opening up and our remembering that has never unremembered opening with it. Not returning because it’s never about going backwards or bringing something from the past forward, because we’ve shifted and changed and everything’s an add. However it is really opening into what is that connectedness? What is union truly? They will often say it’s a space with all honoring, no requirement, and no threat. The ability for exploration and exchange with one another is just extraordinary. Even as much as what’s occurring in the world, Mary has said, “Some are on the team of dismantling separation and some are on the team of ushering a union.” We’re all in it together. We need to remember that. We’re all in this together to create this, no matter what role we’re playing.
The immediate follow-up to that is the idea of what was it in your existence or in the timing of it that have them come forward for you? Did you know what you were going to do with it? Was that obvious to you?
No. I had no idea. Actually, my husband had read Abraham’s book and had done the thing in the back about opening up for communication. I didn’t. We sat down one day. We were encouraged by somebody else that Don had gone to see. We knew we wanted to do something different with our lives. I was an HR director. He was a printer. We knew that wasn’t it. Just to sit down and meditate for three minutes, which I thought was brilliant for that person to suggest to Don, because I’m not someone who can sit very long and meditate, and never had been. He does. He’s been meditating since he was very young, like twelve. Three minutes, I could do. The Marys started coming through right away the first time we sat together. We’re just looking for calling and guidance to find out what it is that we’d like to do. We got more than we anticipated.
By the third time, they came all the way through and began speaking and conversing with Don. We still didn’t know but we can’t keep a lid on this. We need to share it. We need to start seeing what it is and what our work is, what the possibilities are with it. It took off from there. It’s a whirlwind. As I said to you, it was absolutely unanticipated, and of course at the same time, completely comfortable and ready to go. We’re still learning what we’re doing with it and what we’re doing with them. There’s nowhere they can’t go. There’s nowhere they can’t assist us with going. That’s individual conversations that they have with people. I’m just so in awe all the time because they meet us where we are in our personality and in ourselves and bring that together, and can have any conversation. It’s pretty amazing.
I’m going to admit that I have channeling in me. There were many times when Justin would bring these entities forward. I was like, “What is it you want us to do with this information? Should we write a book? What is it that you’re giving us?” I’m always like, “That’s right. I can just put it in a book and be good.” Every single time, it was, “No.” “How about we can just share the audio and then people will know?” “No.” I’m like, “What are we supposed to do with this? Why are you giving us?” They just kept saying, “Synthesize it. You take it. You learn. Then you give your language to it.” I’m like, “Come on. That sounds like a lot of work. Can’t I just write a book? Can’t I just give this to a publisher and Justin could be a sideshow, we put it up on stage and do this whole thing?” “No.” For a while, I was like, “Come on. What is this all about?” Of course, it’s perfectly designed as always.
I’m sitting here laughing, having my own little silent talk with God. I wonder if the word is out for these groups of entities about this podcast, because we sure had a lot of them come forward. I’m like, “I just have this vision of all of the above that go out there. You can call Tonya and she’ll talk to you. She’ll let you talk.” Isn’t it interesting that we have a large number of people who are channeling lately? It’s groups of entities that are similar but differing. That’s perfect enough that it starts to paint this really yummy, ooey-gooey, fleshed out perspective that even in universal truth of your own wisdom, there is versions in perspectives. Everybody who opens up to spirit brings them through in a little bit of a different perspective. I was never really into Abraham-Hicks, but I really liked Paul Selig’s work. He was an academician and there was just a different look to it that I appreciated. As soon as you and I got on the phone together, I’m like, “Of course, it would be The Marys.” It just makes perfect sense to me.
It’s like everybody takes on, brings in these entities that match, which makes sense to me. As I was asking you if you knew what to do with all these other stuff, I’m like, “Darn it. There’s another one.” It’s so beautiful because that guidance is so enriching. What I like about what you talk about is you still have to do it. There’s still work. You still have to incorporate it. Just hearing it and knowing it isn’t enough. It’s not like because you channeled it that it’s magic and all of a sudden you’re enlightened. I think that’s the thinking.
You have to choose to live it. You have to choose to take it in.
It’s the truth. You have to choose to live it. You have to choose to take it in. For each person, it’s different. I keep thinking when you’re talking about all that people are channeling who are coming forward, it’s like the dots touching. Mary has said that right now, in our world, the information is actually coming through every possibility and every delivery, so that every person, no matter what their belief is, has access to it and can become an available receiver for getting it. There are all kinds of flavors. Obviously, integral flavors are important. It’s all kinds of flavors for your avenue. For me, it has to be humorous. Mary had a little bit of fun. There’s a channel that is just very strict. They’re great and they’re a flavor for somebody. Mary will say, “You’re very serious,” and make a face and have fun.
Of course, if I’m channeling, they’ve got to have a sense of humor. They talk from the beginning of how humor is such an opener for humans to connect their soul and their spirit and their hearts, and their minds. To bring it altogether and help this to move past maybe some pre-determined parameters or lock-downs you might have.
Humor can just burst us open and allow union to flow. They talk about how nature, if we want to understand what the energy of union is, look to nature because it has never agreed to participate in the energy of separation. It is the energy of union, and it’s everywhere. As thick as it might get, union is in every square inch of your earth. There’s nowhere that it’s not.
They’ve also talked about all of the creative arts, any form of art, whether it would be painting or movement or song, or whatever. Any form of art is also a way that humans have stayed very connected to union, and it pulls us through. In other words, the ones creating it or the ones that are enjoying it or receiving it. I suppose if you found somebody who really refused to participate with nature, the arts, you’d find the person that isn’t maybe very connected in their union being, it’s still there though. It’s still in the center of their being, because it’s what we are.
I definitely want to have you back on the show sometime to have The Marys come through. Is there a quick message that they want to share before we get off today’s call?
Let’s see. Just a minute. Hello. She took the duct tape off. We get to speak. Hello to you. We like to always take a moment to breathe in. Thank you. Welcome to you. We always invite people to welcome themselves to a day and then to pause, and then to invite themselves to come well. We come well to this moment, to the self, to this life, to this expression that I am. We become well. We remember what we would be. We open and stand and rise and release any restrictions, any confusion or complication it might be thinking is necessary and instead brings my own breath from my own being, and come well into this moment. Stretch and come well into every day. Sometimes, give yourself a good jiggle all the way through your body like a dog does when it’s resetting. Let yourself feel your complete energy transformation. If you still stuck, you feel uncertain or confused or not clear just give yourself a good shimmy. Let yourself open and remember, “I’m an infinite being connected into all I am.” There you are. You are quite a yummy one. Your mind, your curiosity, your exploration never quits moving, does it?
Breathe your own breath and let it stand side by side with all the other breaths in the world. It’s not about breathing each other’s breath. That’s just the confusion of your separation as you come in from being this expansive existence. You came in willingly, every one of you. Nobody is there without your own absolute will to be there. You came in though and you hit that differing, that contrast of separation. To figure out how to stay and carve your space brilliantly, you thought, “I’ll just take in what I experience.” I can understand it from within because that’s how you’re operating union. You’d say, “I wish to know something or understand something. I’ll become that for a moment.” Yet, when you are there in the practice of separation, it gets stuck in all kinds of nooks and crannies perhaps, or believes to be stuck. Just breathe your own breath through and let it loosen. Breathe your own breath through and let it loosen. Begin to allow your own core essence narrow yourself to open up and to let all your senses open and to be who you are and to see as this unique expression. You are out into the world and in into your internal world, and to share, and to play, and to be the life that you are, living the life that you are living and feel the interaction of that in every moment.
We have lots to say, we can keep you here for many hours and yet we will honor your programming. Inhale for a moment with your permission, so that we may be gifted with the beauty that you are. That’s just every one of you, anybody who has said yes to tune into this or said yes to tune into somebody else who is tuning into this. Or said yes to tune into somebody else who’s tuning into anything that is in the opening and feeling your own way there at your own pace and honoring that pace, and becoming curious about it and knowing what is right timing and what is my selfing. Not in a way that you are getting lost into it, instead in a way that you’re rising and being found in it, sharing and expressing that in the world. It is so beautiful to be the piece that you are that no other has ever been, now or ever will be, and feeling that significant and extraordinary nature of that, just all of that are touching. Wonderful. You are spicy. We like you. We like everybody. We like this particular flavor that you are.
