Blessings to the family. This is Jewels Arnes, host of Cosmic Consciousness: Coding the New Human for the New Earth. And I am so excited to have this guest back, Peter Kater. Peter Kater is a two-time Grammy Award winner, and he is a fabulous artist. Welcome, Peter.Â
Hey, Jewels. Nice to be here with you.
Amazing. We have had an interview before, so if people want to go back and refer to that one, definitely go back and look at that interview. But before we get started, Peter, tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you want everyone to know about yourself today? It’s funny. I told him I was going to ask him that question. He’s like, “Well, which self do I talk about?” and I’m like, “You get to pick.”
Well, I’m a pianist, obviously, a pianist-composer. You say, “Tell me about yourself.” And I’m like, do I say, “Well, I’m a two-time Grammy-winning, blah, blah, blah, who’s done this and this and that?” Or do I say that “I am just a human being, trying to find their way through this world and authentically express myself, that is fulfilling and genuine so that we can have a meaningful interaction?” I think that’s probably more accurate than telling you about my fashion preferences and food choices.
I love that. It’s all about showing up and being authentic and being vulnerable and transparent because it’s in that, that people can connect to the beauty of who you are. And I just had that experience with you. Peter did a private piano session for me. And I have to say; I didn’t really know what to expect. And so we just talked for maybe 30 minutes, and I would say that was a little uncomfortable for me because I had to sit and talk about myself for 30 minutes without a lot of conversation on the other end.
But I could tell that Peter was really absorbing the frequency of what I was saying. And then, when he felt ready, he had me lay underneath his grand piano and played a piece that represented the energy of me. And I have to say; there are not very many times that I have processes where when I’m finished. I feel like I went into an altered state that I’m not able to just pull myself right back out of, and I think I was flying pretty high for at least a couple of hours after that. So thank you for that, Peter.
My pleasure.
So I want to talk more about that experience and what it’s like for you on the other side, as the practitioner, in this case, because there is a spiritual art to it. But before we do, I just want to go to break so that we can just come back and have a yummy conversation.
Okay.
But before we do, Peter, let everybody know where they would go if they want to find out about your new album that we’ll talk about, these private sessions, and all the other retreats and beautiful things that you’re bringing to the world.
Okay. Well, I guess the best place to go is my website, which is peterkater.com. And I got everything there, the new album, my recent albums, the retreats, the piano readings. It’s all there. And then at the bottom of the website, somewhere it says email Peter, and those emails come directly to me so that you can communicate with me from there.
And that’s such a blessing right there just to have that instant communication. So definitely check out the website, and we’re going to be right back.
