Alana Fairchild, spiritual teacher and inspirational writer, shares her Super Powers of divine relationship and inspired creativity.

Hello everybody this is Tonya Dawn Recla, your Super Power Expert, and I have a huge treat for you all. I know our members are very, very, very, excited about this specific interview. I have with me today Alana Fairchild all the way from Australia and I know many of you know exactly who I’m talking to. I just want to share a little bit about how she feels how and the experience of her. You can absolutely look her up online and find all kinds of accolades and amazing, amazing work that she’s doing in the world. But she’s just brilliant. The energy that comes off of her is like this glow and it’s warming and embracing. It’s one of those one of those moments when you just feel very honored to be in somebody’s presence and so rather than go over all of her work, which we will discuss during the interview, I will talk about the fact that one of our groups is working really exclusively with her Sacred Rebels oracle deck and have had a great time doing that. So please right now join me in welcoming Alana Fairchild to our show. Thank you, Alana, for joining us.

Hi, Tonya, it’s lovely to connect to you.

Well, we are very honored that you would share time and space with us today. And we want to jump right in and talk to you about: What are your Super Powers?

I love that question, it’s really quirky. I want to say inspired creativity, but I also want to talk about the ultimate Super Power, which, to me, is really my divine relationship, my connection to the divine. And I feel everything else that I do is what the real Super Power is because it allows for everything else to happen.

One of the most beautiful things that I’ve learned with that is a sense of surrender an unconditional trust and really a lot of the things that have become most successful in my work were the things that when I was creating them, I was so guided by spirit and willing to go there. But through the process, sort of saying, “Really? Are you sure? Is anyone going to get this? OK. This is what you’re showing me, what feels truthful, so I’ll go with that. My mind was sort of wondering about it. And that’s happened so many times. And I think it’s maybe it’s a blessing because it’s taught me that even when the mind is questioning if you feel something in your being and you know in your heart, you just go for it. Because something beautiful will come out of it, even whilst the mind might be, you know, questioning and doubting all along.

I can really resonate with that. What is one of the more recent events you’ve had with that?

It’s been a lot. Actually, last year, about twelve months ago, I needed to move house. And I just knew it. I didn’t really want to do, but I just knew it. And a few things happened. And at the time I was working quite deeply with Mother Mary and the Mother Mary oracle because I was going to teach a course on it and run a workshop. And I was driving home and I saw this little bird and I mean there’s lots of wildlife in Australia but this little bird was trapped on the street and cars were kind of driving on either side of it. It’s was the middle of the freeway and I couldn’t stop but I did ring the Wildlife Protection Service in Australia and just said to them, “Look, there’s this bird and it’s stuck on the street. Can you send someone to go and check it out?” And I told them where it was. Anyway, a little bit later they rang back and said, “Look we’ve gone, we’ve looked for the bird. We’re going to call you when we figure out what’s happening.” So I thought, “That’s fine.” And then in between that time and when they rang me back I heard from the person who owned the house where I was living that I really did need to move, and I thought, okay. Then the person rang back about the bird and said, “Okay, you know the bird is gone it’s ok. It’s not squashed on the road anywhere, we actually think it’s found its family and it’s okay, it’s safe.” And I said, “Thank you so much. My name is Alana. Thank you. I really appreciated you letting me know that so I wouldn’t be worried about this little creature.” And I said, “What’s your name?” And she said, “Oh, it’s Mary.” And I said, “I can’t thank you enough.”

And then, as I was writing for this workshop, I was praying at the same time saying I need to find a house and some way to leave. And I just thought, “Just Google it.” So I did and I found a place straight away. I don’t know what finding real estate is like in the States but in Australia it can be a bit crazy. And the time when I had to move, it with just the timing, everything seemed wrong, everything seemed wrong, and impossible that I think I was in such a point of feeling like my back was up against the wall and it just had to happen. I decided to not even go into all of that doubt and fear around it. And I just got really, really practical and really, really spiritual and did my prayer and said, “Okay, I’m going to apply for these places and it’s all just going to come together really, really easily.”

To cut a long story short. There were a lot of synchronicities with Mary along the way. And one of them was that I went to teach this workshop in between going to see this new place and when I found all this out. And at the workshop the people that were hosting it brought roses, I asked them because I wanted to do a rose blessing. So connecting with the Mary and energy and the roses were these beautiful pink and yellow roses absolutely sublime. So we did the rose blessing, felt her presence, it was very special.

And then I went a couple of days later to see this place. It was perfect. I’m sitting in it right now actually as I’m talking to you. It is absolutely perfect and I felt like it’d been made for me. And as I was walking out of it after meeting the new owners, there was a message that came to me which was, “You can have this place if you want it.”

And I just said look I love it, if it’s meant to be for me, I’m happy to receive it, but I don’t want to impose myself on anyone or anything. Anyway I found out very quickly later that it was, you know, there for me if I wanted it, so I accepted it. And the day that I moved in a few days later, the owners had left a basket of roses for me, pink and yellow just like at the Mother Mary workshop. And I just opened the door, saw it, felt her, almost burst into tears and just thought the whole thing happened in about seven days. I traveled interstate in the meantime, I had workshops, I had so much to do. It was so easy. And moving house and you know letting something go and opening up to a new place and dealing with real estate and worrying about who your neighbors are or the area you’re living in. It can be such a drama and it wasn’t. It was really simple. And the whole thing I just flowed with it and something that would have caused me a lot of emotional angst some years ago, really didn’t at all. It was so quick, it was almost just a blip. And everyone around me kept saying, “Are you settled? Is it okay?” And I said, “Yeah, I’m fine. I really love it here and it’s so much better than where I was. I didn’t realize.” All of these steps I had to take to get here. And I think this because it’s practical.

That’s a great example. So beautiful the synchronicities and how things unfold when you trust in that. Yeah I think a big, powerful takeaway from your story is the trust. The mind may pop in there from time-to-time but, ultimately, are you putting one foot in front of the other in the direction of your guidance. And that’s a beautiful depiction of that. Thank you for sharing it.

You’re so welcome. I think part of this too, at least for me, it took me awhile to work it out because with the old mindset I was thinking, okay, well I can listen to my guidance, but things are going to be hard. Maybe that my mind would say, okay, they’re going to lead me to do things, but it’s going to be so challenging and I just had to kind of gird my loins and say okay I’m going to do it it’s going to be difficult, but I’m going to rise to the challenge. And I went in with a mindset of it’s going to be more challenging but it will be worth it. And there’s nothing necessarily wrong with that mindset but it’s not the only story. And I think at some point you get to this place where we’re ready to experience more grace and just realize that we have come to this planet with so much that we need to do. You know there is so much to be done there are so many people that need help. And if that can happen more easily and efficiently and joyfully then we’re sort of in that place, I think, where a lot of us that we know are ready to give up some of that struggle and just say, yeah I’m ready for this to be easier.

And what I’ve noticed is that when we do really make our trust more and more unconditional. So that means not just trusting, you know, do I give someone a message when I receive it, but trusting that the divine is going to take care of the mortgage and the divine is going to take care of your physical body, and the loved one that you’re worried about or your children. And really going to those places where trusting has been a challenge. That when we do that the divine can rush in and move things around and make things which are difficult and seem to be like this terrible mountain to descend into this easier or more fluid and more grace for reality. And that I think is really beautiful.

I remember, it feels like forever ago now, but I remember very clearly one of my mentors looking at me and going, “You know, you can ask to go through this with grace and ease, right? You’re aware that’s an option, right?” And I was like, huh, look at that, I guess it’s possible. But before that day it never even dawned on me to do it that way, you know? I think so many of us have agreed to transmute the struggle story out of the collective that we really are programmed to think that way. And I agree with you. It feels like there’s this pivotal moment where you just kind of wake up whether somebody kind of nudges you or you just get it. And you realize, wait, I think I can be done with that now.

Yeah. And, you know, there’s no shame in it either. I think you look back and say okay, it taught me what I’m working with here. It taught me how people are going to come to this work. It gave me an insight. I call it going undercover.

You know there’s this crisis moment in the story where people go, “Uh, do they remember what side they’re on? Have they come to the light?” You know, I think we need to remember our divinity. You know, we’ve gone undercover into the consciousness where people have forgotten their divinity and learnt to believe in this nightmare and created this horror story. I needed to go in it to see what I’m working with and to know what needs to be healed. But I have to be careful that I don’t lose myself in it and begin to believe that it’s true. And if I have then, you know, how can I begin to bring myself back to what is really true.

Yeah. I hear myself referencing the saying, “In the world, but not of it,” very, very frequently here lately and that’s, to me, how it feels. I describe it as you summit the mountain but then the work to be done is you have to climb back down off the mountain and go back into the world to do the work that you’re here to do. And you need all those tools and those resources and everything that you gathered along the way so that you can do the work without getting kind of sucked back into believing it again. You know, most of us worked so hard to pull ourselves out of it. Nobody told us that we’d get to the top and go, “Wait, I’m sorry what? I have to go back where?”

I laugh about it, I think maybe it’s probably good I didn’t know about that ahead of time. I’m not sure I would’ve kept climbing.

It’s so funny, isn’t it? But I’ve also found that’s where it becomes really fun. And if you don’t have that trust aspect, it’s just, it sounds horrific. You think, “What? I have to go and deal with all that crazy?” And it’s like, what if you knew that the divine was saying to you, “Hey, we can do this together. And I’m going to be kind of like headquarters and I’m going to be speaking to you whenever you need me. Constantly and even when you think you don’t need me, through your heart, guiding you. You’re always going to have this safety mechanism here and it’s complete and absolute and infallible. And you get to play and be divinely defiant and do things according to what your heart tells you in this frequency that I’m making sure that you stay connected whilst a lot of people around you will look at you absolutely stunned and wondering how you’re not playing by any of the rules. And yet it still works.” And then you’ll get someone who says, “Oh! I want to do that too. It’s just this joyful kind of heart-centered rebellion. This wave of love moves through us more freely. And I mean, we couldn’t do that if we were still on the mountain. We can only watch other people doing it and that’s no fun.

But it’s kind of like you’ve got to get there to know that. You think that’s the end-all be-all and you kind of get up there going, “Uh, what now?” Like that was fun. But I love the whole “play” concept. We talk about that a lot in the Super Power Experts and why we have that whole brand is it’s to play. And I’ve been very clear with people that it’s very self-serving. You know, I just want more people to play with so it works out well for me.

Well, very delightful. Obviously, you’re here to have an impact on the world and help change the world, in our verbiage. How do you work with people? Do you do one-on-one? I know we talked a little bit about online training. Can you describe some of the practical things that you do here in the world?

It’s pretty multi-faceted actually. I do some one-on-one, not many these days, just because of time and practicality. What I’ve started is a year-long online training programs for healers and it can be for people who are already established in their work or it can be for those who are just beginning. And it’s really about connecting people to the divinely more strongly. And there’s an actual modality that you learn through it which I created with guidance. It was another one of those things I was like, “Really? This is what you want to do? Are you sure?” It’s a little bit odd I’ve never seen anything else like it. It’s a bit strange and this year was a missive one for me because suddenly I had over 100 people from all over the world going, “Hey, we want to do this.” I thought, wow, okay. I mean, this modality, it’s really quite quirky but it’s been amazing. Of course, because Spirit dictated it.

The online training is called Soul Guidance and Sacred Mentoring. So that’s been a massive thing. I’m holding a huge group and really I’ve had to expand and grow into how much I really surrender into the divine. And through that experience. So it’s been incredible for me, too. And just the connections and relationships that the students have made with each other. You know you think online is going to be impersonal. It’s been incredibly personal really warm, really held for everyone. It’s been really amazing and the changes that they’ve gone through which of course is what happens isn’t it? When the divine comes into the space people are leaving jobs, getting publishing deals, starting relationships, moving country. And you watch it going, “Oh my goodness!” I think it’s just the fulfillment of that destiny that’s within each one of us. You know in our heart that thing that we really yearn for even if we can’t fully articulate it or give it words. But when the divine gets animated, suddenly it just starts to happen. And you sort of think, “Wow! What is this?” But it’s we’re given this fantastic fertilizer and we just start blooming all over the place. That’s a big thing.

But then I run retreats as well. I’ll be doing one probably in Mexico next year. I’ve just come off the back of doing one in India this year. It was amazing. And yeah lots of things. I love the parallels. You know I would say in prior spaces where I’ve been sitting. I would have thought, I don’t know if I could have embraced as easily the affirming messages that you give me in describing what you’re experiencing because it so closely relates to what we’ve experienced in building The NET and Super Power Experts and all this other stuff. Now what I love about it is the just knowing that you’re in your area of the world doing your thing and it’s so different yet so synergistic to the work that we’re doing and the experiences that you’re seeing as a result of that. You know I was really taken aback when I realized that our market niche is international and it’s pretty specific. And I was like, well how are we going to do that? And I struggled with the virtual thing and introducing that. And how do we create community using technology and virtualness and everything else. But it came together. And so I love hearing that you’ve had similar experiences with it and it continues to give me hope as we’re moving forward and launching new programs and everything else. I think it’s amazing what’s happening.

Absolutely. We joke that the technology can’t keep up with our frequency. And in a way that’s just the mechanics. There’s more electricity, spiritual electricity, through the actual physical wires than it used to. But the capacity for technology, when we are embodied. It’s ironic really, you think our technology and all that. But when we’re in our body and we’re feeling that connection with ourselves, we can feel other people it’s very real. It’s very real. I don’t think the technology has to be the enemy at all. I think if we use it with love we can actually you know bring people closer and the beauty with people in the spiritual field to us, you know personal development and who are interested in healing. You know, they understand energy at some intuitive level. They get it. They know the kind of frequency and that their thoughts affect their reality. It is very real for them. So they’ve already crossed a huge barrier and from that place I think the kinds of connections that we can make without even…you know, I’ve had clients I’ve done readings for for ten years that I’ve never met. And we have this deep, deep bond. You know it’s sort of when you get a physical connection it’s wonderful but it’s not the only way to share a laugh. Fortunately for us.

I agree and it’s been a really fascinating experiment with our virtual community that we’ve created, it’s like a playground. And I keep hearing that we have to figure out how to come together, work together. And I get it, it’s awkward to feel like you can connect with a group of virtual strangers. And if you challenge yourself to play in those arenas it can transform you faster than anything I’ve ever seen.

What’s coming up and what I’ve been able to witness is the whole myth of separation and how we play that out with technology. Like “I don’t really know these people,” “I just can’t connect,” or “I don’t want to do that.” And really challenging people to look at those stores and what they serve in keeping us separate. When you persevere through that, of course it’s awkward, of course it’s not as easy as sitting down at coffee with somebody, but when you choose to pursue that connection it’s more power than all else. And those individuals have grown exponentially. So it doesn’t surprise me that you’re seeing the same results. You know people changing professions and moving and all these other things because it really opens you up to potential.

Yes. And it’s interesting I think for me, it’s always the sense in everything that I do whether it’s singing onstage or writing right track or running a course or a retreat. It’s the same thing and it comes back to that original Super Power which, I don’t think belongs uniquely to me, I think we have the seed of it in every human heart and it’s just the more that I allow myself to open, to kind of be soft and vulnerable and inviting of the divine and spacious and don’t kind of get in there and impose limitations and restrictions and expectations in my own mind and heart and instead just say to the divine, “I know you’ve got my back. I know that the joy that fills my heart and those desires and those dreams that I have within me that I want to manifest in the world, that they are your seeds that you’ve placed there so I trust you.” I kind of open up and become soft and let that fill me. And then the strength that I have to hold a space in the world, it’s this beautiful, it’s contagious consciousness. But in a good way. Yeah it’s not the usual, you know, fear-based, there’s a terrorist act in the world or something happens in a wave of hysteria and all of us healers are there going, “Hey, calm down!”

Everybody take a breath!

It’s going to be alright. There’s a creative power here, let’s do something constructive with it, you know? We can actually instead of only having to respond, we can start to influence.

We just went through a huge tirade here and I know that you all felt the backlash through our recent election and it’s just it’s so fascinating what comes up for people. So your response just then reminded me of that it’s like, “Okay everybody, take a breath. Take a step back. Let’s elevate just a little bit and get some perspective.” And it changes everything. So I don’t want to keep asking you a thousand questions but there’s one that’s coming up. How did you get into doing oracle decks? How did that come about?

Oh, that was a funny story, actually. I wanted to do one for quite a few years and I just started to write my own before there was an artist, before I had a publisher. And it’s actually just coming out now. It’ll be out very soon. It’s called the Lightwork oracle.

But no, it was just sitting there and I had a friend of mine, who is sort of a friend, she ran a metaphysical bookstore, a lovely lady. And she submitted my self-published meditation CDs to a publisher. I didn’t even know she’d done it. And then from that he wanted to publish them and then I sent him a book that I’d written. It was still a manuscript really and he said, “I didn’t know you could write as well. Let’s get you writing something.”

So I said, “Ok, that sounds good.” And then a little bit later he sent me an email just saying, “Look, I have this artwork.” This is from the Kuan Yin oracle. “I have this artwork. I’d like to do something on Kuan Yin. I was thinking of sending it to a more established writer (because I really hadn’t been published with anything written as yet). But I keep thinking of you.” And I know why, but they don’t. And I said, “Wow! Yes. You know I’ve been asking for this for years. Please send me the artwork.” Anyway so he sent me the file of the artwork and I nearly fell off my chair because when I opened the file and looked at it all, I realized it was artwork that I’d been, you know, sneakily downloading off the internet and printing out and putting in my healing room because I was so in love with it.

It’s gorgeous. That is a beautiful, beautiful deck.

Yeah. It’s just such a beautiful artist, but that was like 7 years earlier. You know something crazy. And. I just looked at it and thought, wow, it’s all there. And I just felt like Kuan Yin was just laughing and saying, “You see? This seed was planted years ago but now your publisher is here.” Because I had to wait for the right publishing company. As always I was five steps ahead like, “Where’s the publishing company?”

Well, it’s funny you should bring up that deck because I got that deck and it was just beautiful, beautiful imagery. It was almost too feminine for me to deal with at the moment in time when I was dealing with it. It really challenged me to open up some new spaces which I appreciated. What’s so funny, you did the Goddess and Sirens deck? Was that one of yours?

No, that was the same publisher.

That’s what it was. Okay. Because I was so in love with your writing in that book and the imagery of that deck. And then I had heard that the Goddesses and Sirens deck was coming out. And so just like the Kuan Yin deck really challenged me to open up some feminine spaces.

What that Blue Angel that published it?

Yes, Blue Angel.

They were sending out the announcement for their Goddesses and Siren’s deck and I was like, Okay, that sounds very feminine. And I was like, okay, I’m ready for this. You know and here comes this deck that’s like not feminine at all. I’m like, “What is this?” Like I had to set it aside for quite a few times because it was so fascinating how the different energies of them kind of all came together and so I had these two seemingly opposing decks. You know, Kuan Yin and the femininity and then there’s this real hyper masculine, or at least that’s how I interpreted it, the Goddesses and Sirens deck. And it was so fascinating to observe myself in connection to all of that. And so I look at your work it was just like, wow, and how you’re able to encapsulate through the Kuan Yin and then what I’ve seen with the Sacred Rebels and all of these different facets and focuses. Focuses? Foci? I don’t know what the plural of focus is.

But really kind of move… Okay so this is what’s coming forward. I want to honor how important that work is that you do. Journeying with those decks is a big part of what opened me up to different spaces. And so, whether you’ve heard that before or not, I personally want to thank you for that.

Tonya, that’s really beautiful. I think what you’ve mentioned there…people tell me a lot and I find really, it’s important to know. Because I’ve written a lot of decks, there’s about nine that are published at the moment, I think, off the top of my head. Oh, and Divine Circus has just come out, and it’s completely different again. Each one I write, I describe them like different vitamins for the soul.

So, if you’re drawn to the Kuan Yin deck, you’re going to be getting a very different kind of very feminine, very trusting, unconditionally loving, soft gentling kind of energy. Then Sacred Rebels is sassier. Divine Circus is like Rebels on steroids. And then the Isis oracle, which is about empowerment from the Egyptian goddess. Mother Mary which is really, not a religious one at all, which is written from a spiritual perspective about connecting with the miraculous energy and feeling really held and then others that are just so completely different again.

And people sometimes expect that I’m going to be doing the same thing but the divine is in diversity and whatever we’ve been given. So I really honor what you’re saying and I laugh that you didn’t fall into judging anything you just went, “That’s different. How am I?” That’s really such a sign of awareness. Good on you.

Well, thank you. And I’m glad you mentioned the Isis deck because that’s the one that, it wasn’t the Goddesses and Sirens. It was the Isis one and I remember hearing that you were going to do one and I had been really drawn to Isis, she’d come to me a few times, and I wanted to be very disappointed that it was the same artist who did the Goddesses and Sirens deck because I was like, “What?!” Because I waiting for like the same feminine kind of imagery from the Kuan Yin deck. It’s so interesting to hear my own message in that like, why would you want it exactly the same and what does it challenge in you to see it presented differently. And so I feel like I kind of went on that journey with you. It was really kind of cool. To feel my responses to both of those.

That’s fantastic. I mean it is about empowerment. My goodness, I’ve got some unusual feedback for myself and one of my favorite ones, because it was just so off the wall. This lady from the States wrote to me and said that she used one of the healing processes in the Isis oracle and completely overcame her fear of going to the dentist.

I love it.

Why shouldn’t it be so practical?

Yeah I think that should be one of your new tag lines, “I will help you get over your fear of the dentist.” That’s perfect. Very cool. I’ve really enjoyed connecting with you and you’ve shared some amazing stories. Do you have one last story you want to share with our listeners about just what it feels like to push through and follow that guidance? I mean you embody it. You’ve expressed it. But if there’s another one that you’re feeling called to share I’d like to open that space up for you.

Thank you. I mean I guess one of the most recent ones was a little bit. I mean, it happens every day, doesn’t it? Really, every day. One that I can think of was when I was writing the training program. I had in my mind that I was going to write the Crystal Mandala oracle. I was going to do it in like two years from now. Anyhow, I was asleep and woken up at three o’clock in the morning by my guidance and they said you need to write the Crystal Mandala oracle for the training. And then I went, oh, I was still half asleep so I didn’t argue.

See, that’s how they do it. They get you when your defenses are down.

And then I wake up in the morning and I thought, um, it’s September and the course is starting in February. And it’s not just that I have to write it, but it has to be edited, it’s got to be formatted, it has to be shipped overseas to be printed, then proofed, then shipped back.

And I think the printing of that deck happens in China so, it’s Chinese New Year. And I suddenly thought I don’t even know if that’s physically possible.

So I ring up my publisher and I just said, “Look I know you love me and I know you give me lots of leeway and you’re very wonderful with me and you allow me to create in ways that are very unusual. Would you do this for me, you know, is it possible that we can have this deck, that I haven’t even started writing yet, printed and done and, you know, in like three and a half months and ready for sale?” And he just said, “Wow.” He just goes, “We’re going to try to do this for you. It’s really going to be pushing it, but let’s work out the dates.”

So my editor came back and said, “Look, if you can write it in less than two weeks we can maybe do it.” And I just thought, okay, I’m very fast. Like I’ll write a deck in one to two months which is ridiculously fast. But I thought, two weeks, wow. And add to this it’s not only just a regular 44 message deck, it’s actually a longer deck, so it’s the longest deck and the shortest amount of time. And I just said you know what Spirit’s asked me to do it so it must be possible. It must be. So I just said, let’s just do it.

So, I sat down and I channeled. And the frequency in this deck, everyone has commented on it. In fact it surprised me because it was so different in the way that I wrote it, that people are so sensitive to energy. They feel it, they just know. And it’s entirely channeled. In fact a lot of it I didn’t even have the memory of writing. When it was sent back to me from the editor, I thought oh this is really interesting. Oh wow, this is great. This is fantastic. Spirit is so amazing. When I was writing it, it was coming through and I didn’t even kind of get a lot of it in my mind. I was speaking it. The words were being spoken. And as I was speaking it, I was typing. Like dictation through my own body. It was so strong. And I channeled 12 hours a day for 10 days and I got it finished. And I know there were times when my body, I mean, it was hard. But I sent it to my editor and she said said to me, “This is fantastic. There are virtually no errors. It’s really easy to edit. Can you do all your work like this?” And I just said, “I’m sorry but no.” It was so hard on my body. It was like I was drunk. There was so much energy in my crown chakra I could hardly walk. Most of the time I kept tripping over furniture. My body got so much energy just coming through my head. I could feel myself fighting with her. She wanted to get up and walk away from the computer. And I was like, “Ah, beloved, just another hour.”

There was a lot of joy in it, but I just thought I would not do that my body unless it was absolutely asked or essential. So I’m very proud of what came out of that. And I’m proud of the fact that I rose to it. Using that wisdom that we talked about earlier of not everything having to be a struggle I would not choose that to be the intensity that I do everything with any more. That’s a great story f the impossible made possible.
