In the US, we have been bombarded by polarizing politics and inundated with conflicting “facts” about everything from COVID-19 to our system of government. It’s been frustrating, exhausting, and stressful. XXXXXX, this week’s coaching guest on A Glimpse Inside is a foreign-affairs and national security journalist who covered conflicts in the Middle East for over two decades, most notably in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Israel and the Palestinian Territories and is now covering the White House. In this 2 part Coaching episode, host Wendy Perrotti talks with XXXXXX about what it’s like for her to work in the center of so much controversy and derision and how she can still find peace within.
Welcome. This is A Glimpse Inside. I’m Wendy Perrotti. You’re listening to episode two of our four-part series, Finding Peace. These are tumultuous, challenging times. Everything feels so important. The stakes feel and are incredibly high. And with all of that, with everything that can and must be done, astride the upheaval that surrounds us and start creating internal peace, and we will be the most successful, the most impactful, and the happiest if we can learn to remain in a peaceful state in spite of the circumstances that surround us.
In today’s coaching episode, you’ll learn how you can start creating internal peace during external chaos. I’m joined today by a truly remarkable woman who is no stranger to chaos. And before you meet XXXXXX, a quick reminder of how we roll here on A Glimpse Inside‘s coaching episodes. This is a no-advice, no-judgment zone. We’re here to create a space where we can all examine the unexamined, our fears, desires, and the perceptions that we’re afraid to admit out loud, sometimes even to ourselves, the stories we tell ourselves about what is and isn’t good, or what is and isn’t possible. We’re going to start creating internal peace.
