The Personal Power of Pink
As 2013 picks up steam, life appears to be getting back to the “new normal.” Everyone seemed a bit hesitant to jump right in to business-as-usual following the 2012 ups-and-downs. But the energy feels different now. The energy feels…well, it feels a bit…expectant. Not like the held-breath expectation of months prior, but the steady, confident, pulsing flow of creating.
The world is ripe for new ideas and collaborative movements. People want to connect and believe and do stuff that matters. My clients struggle with different things, but they all circle around the same thing…people want purpose. They want to have a purpose, connect with purpose and act on purpose. The single biggest epidemic of our times is people don’t know how to be…on purpose. This is the POWER of Pink™.
So it’s the perfect time to introduce the concept of Live in the Pink!™ This concept cuts through the drama and the confusion and all of the white noise of our everyday lives. It encourages us to be aware, centered, and balanced between total disconnect and utter over-stimulation.
As I explained in W.A.R. – Watch, Assess, React: The Ultimate Guide to Personal POWER and Safety, I adapted Live in the Pink!™ from my training as a counterintelligence agent for the US government. It’s where situational awareness meets self awareness.
Live in the Pink!™ reminds us to stay vigilant in every moment. It illustrates the importance of sitting on our throne of power and playing the role of queen or king in our lives…every minute of every day. And it insists that we do this together. That we recognize and appreciate the interconnectedness that weaves through us all as we figure out how to honor the inner power and knowing we possess individually and collectively. It’s deep…but it’s so important. As we Live in the Pink!™ we encourage others to do the same and we model it for those who hold us up as heroes.
But, ultimately, Live in the Pink!™ is a movement of heart-centeredness and love. The power of pink teaches us to lead from center and guide others to do the same. It breaks down anger and fear and jealousy and pettiness and separateness…and envelopes them with a pretty and Pink bow.
