Welcome soul family to Cosmic Consciousness, Coding the New Human for the New Earth. I am your host Jewels Arnes. And I’m so excited to introduce Susan Dascenzi … Susan, help me out.
I almost had it. Susan Dascenzi. Susan is a licensed psychotherapist, sound therapist, transformational and business coach, best-selling co-author, speaker, entrepreneur, and an emotional waste manager. Love that. She spent the last 27 years guiding her clients to dissolve the hidden traumas and head trash that have built up through the years of past conditioning and hold them back from living an extraordinary life.
Whether you are an entrepreneur struggling to grow your business and create consistent revenue, an assault survivor, still trying to find their way or a human being affected by limiting beliefs and not living your highest potential and possibility, Susan can assist you in breaking through to your best life. Yes, I signed up. Welcome to the show, Susan.
Oh, thank you so much, Jewels. It’s an honor to be here. Thank you for having me.
I just love that. So living your best life, living to your highest potential. Tell me, how do you know if you’re living your best life?
That’s a really complicated question and a really simple question, to be honest with you. The complicated piece is that we have spent, I think so many years, looking at someone else’s version of the vision for our own life, right? Their expectations, their demands. Like our parents saying, “You have to go to college and you need to be a doctor. And no, why would you want to be an artist, that doesn’t make any money?” Things like that, that we hear from our friends, our family, our teachers, just society around us.
And we don’t listen to the voice within and not the head trash, inner voice from our mind. But truly the mind, body, spirit voice that is really that deep, deep knowingness, that gut kind of reaction that says, “Eh, I don’t want to do that. I want to do this.” And we don’t listen to it. And so I think, how we know we’re living our best life is when we’re waking up every day and what we’re doing and who we’re being, feels so in alignment. That feeling, that knowingness internally in our gut, if you want to call it your heart voice or intuition or whatever it might be for you, just feels like quote unquote, right and good and solid and like a big, yes. Does that make sense?
Absolutely. I have this saying that life is a series of yes’s and a series of no’s. And both are just as important because we have to know when to say no, as much as we have to know when to say yes. So what tool would you give someone that’s just starting to listen to that still small voice to help them maybe attach to that more or listen more, have it be stronger. Because that’s a scary thing going from never listening, to that and being in head trash, to opening up to this other world.
Absolutely. One of the things that I always shared with my clients and I’ve always practiced on a regular basis and how I kind of made it through the challenging times in my own life, was that I really checked in, in three ways. I first asked and scanned really, what is going on in my physical body. Is what I’m feeling in my physical body something I’m really even aware of. Do I feel the tightness and the tension that’s going on in my chest or in my belly or do I feel like, as I’m thinking about something or feeling something, am I feeling a tension in my jaw or am I noticing that my hands are clenched? I think it’s really critical that we first feel and are aware of the feelings. Which feelings and emotions are totally different. So, the feelings in our physical body, the physical sensations.
Then I immediately ask, what are my thoughts that are attached to this feeling and these feelings I’m actually feeling.
This tension, this tightness, this butterfly feeling in my tummy or this heat in my face, kind of thing. And I notice what the thoughts are. Then I ask the most critical question. What is the truth of this? And so, if someone’s just starting to pay attention to that inner deep knowing this voice, in order to really know if you’re listening to that voice or the inner voice of your mind, that is kind of coming from that head trashy place potentially, is to check in with your feelings about it. To look at what the thoughts are with it. And to ask what is the truth because you need to discern is it your truth or someone else’s truth. Does that make sense?
I love that. Absolutely. I have this saying where it’s, “What is the belief? Do you believe it?” And if it’s yes, do you want to believe it? Because a lot of times on some level we do believe it, but it’s not something we want to anymore because it was never ours. I love that. So Susan, we’re going to take just a quick break, but before we do and we’ll come and talk more about this. Because I know belief systems are such a huge part of what you do and how we can move past those in creating our highest potential, which is what this show is all about. How can they find you if they want to work with you?
